17 weeks preggo and my goal is to workout until D Day. 4th baby and my goal is to look like Nicki Murphy after lol 🙌🏽🙈 curious what you mamas are doing to workout? My doc told me no squats but I thought squats were ok...i don't think I'm going to stop.
I'm almost 38 weeks and I haven't changed my workout at all. I still lift about 4x per week. I stopped running and now walk instead. I just had my leg day yesterday and I did 4 sets of squats, deadlifts, leg press, plus a bunch of leg machines. The most important thing is to listen to your body and stay hydrated. I take longer breaks before sets but I get it done. Stick with it!
I was told do what your body has been doing prior to pregnancy just in modification. My dr said if you lifted before continue to lift but use your better judgement. I've been to sick to workout but now that I'm feeling better, me and the gym are rekindling our relationship ☺️👍
I'm still doing weighted squats and I'm 38 weeks! It helps prepare your body for delivery! My doctor told me to continue doing what I'm doing but don't increase the amount of weight I lift. Also, she's against circuit training. But I'm still at it! Get it girl! It's so good to see pregnant women working out!!
I see. Hmm. Well I see so many moms continue a pretty serious workout regimen. I guess I gotta do some more research and figure out what's best. Thank you @tater4414
I was put on restricted activity so I use a work out ball lol! I don't do anything drastic just kind of bounce haha! I think the reason they don't want you to do squats is because sometimes it brings on labor. they told me squats were a big no no along with any kind of weight lifting or what have you.
