I plan on getting a ring sling and an infant insert for our ergo. You simply move them from the car seat to the carrier :) with my first I would put him in the carrier and put maternity winter coat over the top of us :) nice and snuggly warm and ring slings and ergos are quick and easy to use. :)

How does baby wear work in the winter? One of my fears are the cold and how we would get from the car seat to the carrier?

I had an infant seat for my first but we are doing convertible this time. We babywear so it will be easier and lighter to wear baby then lug the infant seat around :)

I have both! my boys grew fast so I literally only used the infant seat for 7 months for both of them

I've always bought the infant car seats and just changed once they are too big for that one that way you only buy two car seats ever

@ak16, thats what i was worried about and he is a winter baby so i dont wanna have do too much taking him out, opening and closing doors or transferring him from one place to the next.

Infant seat for sure because carrying a newborn from place to place is terrible and you have to use both hands one for their head and then for carrying them. With infant carrier you can carry them around. Get the other one when the baby is older. That's what I'm doing

Yes they do and it'll be the only car seat you'll need to buy but you can't just grab the car seat if they are asleep you'll have to take them out everywhere you go only down side

Yes they rear face but I suggest getting an infant car seat. That's what we do and we use them til the baby is one years old then buy them a convertible.
