I'm looking for an infant car seat but I know nothing about the brands. There isn't too many product reviews online. I want to get the safest car seat I can find. Any suggestions?!??!?!❓❓❓
Join car seats for the littles on Facebook. Just so you know all car seats for sale are safe they all have to pass the same tests before being sold.
@mamatobe16, yeah but that's what I would suggest is going in and looking at them in store.. also concider the carseats you can use for years if you plan to baby carry... I had to put my hands on the seat to determine if I liked it weight and everything take it off the base if you can to see how heavy just the seat is!
All infant/toddler seats are safe! The more expensive, the more complex the seat! Every seat goes though the same safety standards before hitting the market! You can go out and buy the cheapest car seat at Walmart and it be just as safe as a 200 dollar seat! (CPST in training)
@aphrodite2014, Yes. Those safety features are what I look for! That is definitely a great set!
man owflake91391, Thank you!! So much! You've helped me a ton!
@mamatobe16, yeah me too! but my favorite features are the padding and the base the fact that it adjusts to the seat for more stable secure placement. and also the strollers wheels are easier to turn since they are on a swivel.. the only bad reviews I've found are that it's hard to lock into place sometimes but once you get the hang of it your fine
Also, all seats pass the SAME safety tests and are extremely safe when used per the manual.
graco snug ride (all but the 22) are great. fit newborns well. the urbini petal and the urbini sonti are also seats that are budget friendly and fit newborns well. You cannot legally use a European seat in the United States. Babytrend tends to NOT fit the average newborn. The straps on the babytrend tend to be above the shoulder, which is very dangerous. with rearfacing seats, the shoulder straps must be AT or BELOW the shoulder.
@aphrodite2014, It's so pretty!! I love the blue color!!!
Thank you so much ladies!!! This has helped me a lot. I guess I'll just go car seat shopping with the women in my family and see what we like. ☺️☺️❤️❤️😘
I have the graco snug ride click connect and I love it. I had a baby trend with my 20 month old and I wasn't all that thrilled with it.
all well known carseat brands are highly rated you almost can't go wrong..
from what I've found its best to go look at them. I prefer a carseat that comes with adequate padding because your not really supposed to put anything else in the car seat with them and also your not to put anything under the car seat when you install it. the base I have has adjustable levelers to sit evenly in a bucket seat.. and it's light colored because my baby is due in April and I live in texas I needed a light color carseat..
@mamatobe16, honestly no because my little one isn't here yet. but, It has a very nice handle it isn't plastic like the rest it has pad on it
I had a baby trend one for my first and will be using that kind again for by second. It has a nice handle. Padded and triangle. So you don't have to twist your wrist and such
@kparis, lol. I've heard a lot about graco. I think most of my family has used them with their children.
I have the graco click one I really like it (she's not here yet though so idk how babies do lol"
I was looking at the graco ones. It's so overwhelming.
The European safety standard is safer than the American.
Always amazed
At the amount of seats that come into seat checks totally wrong. I did roughly 30 checks today and only 4 were right! Lots of babies are now safer in the car!

So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days
I got a car seat from a friend and a stroller online the carseat fits in the stroller but the shade won't close :( get a smaller car seat or keep it ?
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
From my research I found that the Chicco key fit 30 is highest rated right now. That's the one we registered for.
