How old were your babies when you swapped them from a infant seat to a rear facing convertible car seat?
I’m thinking about swapping at 4 months. I’ve been looking at car seats and reviews.
I think we lasted 9 months, but had to switch because our backs were killing us to put her in the middle, and it was SO hot in the carrier because of the extra sidings.... She was sweating on a good day, and it was only going to get hotter....
13 months. She was growing out of her infant carseat. Her convertible is 5lbs-50lbs rear facing or up to 49 inches ☺️ She loves them both. It is very comfy, even her cousins wish they had her carseat. LOL
7 months because he outgrew the carrier
@momofemersonbliss, I really like that one as well! I am looking for something not too bulky because I have 2 other boys 6&7 and I have a Kia Optima. Not that much room.
He just turned 13 weeks today. I’m thinking about getting a convertible seat sooner than later.
You can definitely give it a try he may like it better.
He also hates his seat. He screams every time I put him in it. Car rides are not enjoyable 😕
4mo because she hated the infant seat.
6m, my daughter is in the Graco Extend to
Fit, and I
Love it
@mhbb3, he is getting so heavy that I struggle carrying him in the infant seat. Lol
I think its much too early to switch but check the height and weight limits on the seat you want to switch to.
@mhbb3, that isn’t true. Convertible rear facing seats are rated to use from birth as long as they are over 4-5lbs depending on the seat.
@mhbb3, most convertible seats out there are suitable for
Newborns .

Rave! New carseat, the Chicco Nextfit. LOVE THIS SEAT. Even the most carseat inept person can install this seat with latch. LOVE IT.
Always amazed
At the amount of seats that come into seat checks totally wrong. I did roughly 30 checks today and only 4 were right! Lots of babies are now safer in the car!

Which seat would fit better in my Honda Accord 2 door? And which seat is better
can wic help me with a newborn car seat

So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
@blackfire7887, he absolutely hates his infant car seat and we are also getting him a DVD player to play some baby sensory dvds in the vehicle.
