I'm trying to choose a breastfeeding pump to add to my registry. What do you mommies recommend?
I personally am stuck between the dr. Brown's double electric breastpump and the medela pump in style advanced breast pump with metro bag.
My insurance is paying for my medela
My insurance paid for mine and I got the medela advanced pump. I researched the different ones that were offered to me and that one had he best reviews.
I have a madella pump and my insurance covered it.. There's a phone number on the babies r us website that you can call and give ur insurance info too. Then they did everything else.
Whatt! Super expensive! I was like omg! But willing to make the investment Bc breastfeeding is really important for me personally to do ..so I want the best pump. I would be so mad if it was to mess up my milk supply or anything of the sort. But yea the prices are ridiculous especially for something u don't know whether ur going to like. @babybump3
@kibella22, I hope yours covers it too, they are expensive lol
@babybump3, thank you that's really good to know. I did hear that insurance covers it but I thought it was for renting, like I said I'm not really familiar with any of this, and I just moved to California so I'm even more lost lol. I really hope to find out that my insurance covers it 😊! I'll be so happy 💃🏼
@kibella22, yes mine was brand new, I didn't use it long but I loved it
@queenquee, yea I can't wait to take it Bc I'm so lost trying to figure out everything I need on my own. @harata87 lol! Yes I saw a pic of handpumps and they look so hard to deal with! I couldn't deal with one of those.. I thought to myself --negative 😑-- I wouldn't even try loll!
I used it with my first son in the hospital and it was great , I didn't have the funds to buy one than and had a hand pump but that was a nightmare hahahaha .. Got a different brand Breast pump and it was garbage compared to the Madela !
@kibella22, that's good. breastfeeding class will tell you everything plus more. hopefully they help u make up your mind. and yes very good.
@queenquee, for real the price does not mean anything at all. Yea ur right i have a breastfeeding class coming up so I'll find out more info. The bottles I'm getting are the dr Brown's, I agree they are really good. @harata87 😱 35? That's really good! And how do u like it so far?!
I got the Madela Advanced In Style :) Found it second hand like new for only $35.00 they are $269.00 in stores :)
@kibella22, lol right price don't mean nothing.. And dang, well i Have no idea about pumps I just know "Dr.Brown" bottles are good. try asking your doctor next time u see him/her
@queenquee, that's the thing they both have really good reviews and a couple of bad ones. Sometimes u may think that Bc it costs more its better but u never know. I wish I could test them out 😑 lol.
@kibella22, very understanding. which ever one has the best reviews is who I would go with.
@babybump3, if the insurance covers it do they give u a new one? I'm not familiar with any of this. I deff need to find out..and how did u like the medela?
@queenquee, yea the reviews on the dr Brown's are really great that's why I'm so stuck on which one to go for. I want be careful Bc I don't want anything affecting my milk supply.
Dr.Browns is good. Idk about the pump though.. Never Breast fed. But bottles and stuff are great..
you should call and find out if they will cover it....most insurance do...when I got mine with my first son they gave me the madela pump
I do but not sure if they cover it. I don't wan to rent I rather just invest in it and buy it if no one gets it for my baby shower. I just want to be prepared. @babybump3
pumping is a tough job -____- hope linn g do you mommies pump for? ??
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
Government Assistance and Breast Pump
Is there any mommy's on here that used to be or is on Government Assistance? And knows if they cover breast pumps?

My stash!! I'm super pumped
Breast pump covered by insurance
I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
If I was you I would do the medela. Just because I've never heard of anyone having a doctor brown pump. I used medela with my son. Insurance covered everything but $40. I now have a different insurance an they will actually pay for 2 pumps per year for free. I got a spectra this time. An I read that it has better reviews than the medela. I had a over production problem an my milk would get in the tubes. That can not happen with the spectra.
