I need some advice! I just had my son a little over a month ago and I want to wait 5-10 years to have another baby. Is a age gap a bad thing?
My brother and in are 4 years apart. I loved being his.older sis in school. I.showed him around and no one messed with him lol. we are closer than my other sis and.bros. .. we're the two babies... next sibling in line is approx 7 years older than I.
I want to have another baby anytime after my son turns 1.5 maybe 2 :-)
thank you ladies for all your help!!! you all are lovely!! thank you <3 much love to you mommas
me and my older brother are 2 years apart and my one sister are 2 years apart and me and my other sister are 12 years apart and my other brother are 15 years apart and my other brother are 18 years apart. I'm not close to either of my sisters. just my brothers...especially my 6 year old brother. I'm 21
My biological children are 13 years apart and they have a great bond.
My husband and his sister are 7 years apart and they're super close. But my sister and I are 17 years apart and not close at all. I think 5-10 years is perfect timing cause then you get to give a lot of attention to each individually for a long time
I think siblings bond no matter what the age difference because they love each other. But personally, my mom get pregnant with my sister until I was 6 years old and for those first 6 years I felt really lonely and wished I had a sibling. When I finally had my sibling the age difference was so big we were never on the same level of maturity nor could we play the same things. That's something that has stuck with me so that I give my baby a sibling as soon as I can so his bond with him is greater and better than the one I had. Also I think it's cool when your kids are each other's best friends
@ginag918, aweeee that so sweet and sure she's in love with her baby sister! and maybe you should consider having another one for that baby girl you have <3 and @mommavee your right!! :) and wow congrats ! its so exciting to have a baby. and especially now that your baby girl is 8 she can help a lot
It's really up to you and your spouse and yall preference. My daughter is 8 and I worry that she might not be too close with this baby comin but in the end they will bond they siblings jus bond in a different way lol
My daughter will be 13 in June n my baby is just 13 days old my daughter loves her little sister but I know they won't be that close and though I was done after my first n got this surprise now I feel like I want another one in 2/3 years so she will have a buddy n not be lonely like my daughter thank god my daughter made a best friend at 3 that she calls her sister but she always complained of not having a sibling over the years. But I started early (18) so she's the oldest cousin of her generation I don't want this one to be lonely because now I'm older n my friends don't have kids n I don't hang out as much so my baby won't have a buddy 😁
@rlcorreia123, yes :) thank you. My husband and I REALLY want another baby but I need to think about my future for my little boy and husband
My sister and I are 8 years apart and when she was little she annoyed me but now she's older and we get along very well.
no problem! good luck either way for sure! :)
lol, it's definantly preferences though. each has their pros and cons, you just gotta figure out what is right for you and what will fit your wants and needs
@rlcorreia123, hahahahahaha that's true!!! gots me second guessing now. @lilithnight yes I think that'll be a great choice
mine was family oriented too. i don't think that matters. what matters was generational difference. when she wanted to watch telletubbies or play pokemon, i wanted to watch mtv and hang out with my friends.
thats the questions. nature vs nurture. personally I dont think I want another until my son is 2 or 3.
it's definantly a difficult choice. just whatever you decide make sure you take care of you and get good health care. my husband and i chose to have ours close together because I am not getting any younger. 27 when i had my first, 28 with my second. and a 7 yo step son. the women in my family hit puberty early, and menapause early too. plus around 30 risks for down syndrome and what not increase. i didn't want to be digging at the bottom of the egg barrel so to speak. lol. plus i wanted them to grow up together, and maybe be out of the house together once they are old enough so my husband and i can enjoy our mid life crisises together. haha
@lilithnight, so I'm guessing it depends on the way you raise your children
@rlcorreia123, yeah thats what I read also on BabyCenter but we'll see what happens
@queenof2, that's true they can help around with the newborn :)
my siblings are almost 10 years older than me and we are close. but we were raised in a very family oriented family...so I think that helps. my bfs siblings are all 5 years apart from each other and they are not close at all...
really? omg that's what I'm scared of but I want to finish college and be stabled before my husband and I decide to bring another baby into this world, but we also want another one soon and the age gap was our concern. so were stuck in between :(
I have read and heard that waiting too long in between babies is just as bad as having a baby too soon after you have already had one.
depends on your preference. My children will have a large gap but it works well for me because my daughter can help me out. Some ppl prefer to have them close in age so they can grow up together
my sister is 10 years younger than me. And we have absolutely nothing on common. Don't get me wrong, I love her a ton. But we aren't close really.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

I will be 41 :/
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
@mssjudyk, wow that's so cool ☺☺💜 yeah me and hubby are considering have a baby maybe 5-10 years from now ☺
