I delivered my baby on the 26th at 12:07p by c-section. I was sent to the hospital on Christmas Eve for them to keep me two more days. I had developed severe preclampsia.

So, I'm currently 35 weeks 5 days and I've been doing non stress tests for a while now, everything had been going alright. Last week however my blood pressure began to run high, feet were enormous, then the protein in my urine, blurred vision, headaches.. Wednesday they decided to take me into labor and delivery to monitor everything. Instantly they took me out if work and said complete bedrest is a must. They kept me over night, then all day again and here I am. I've not gotten horribly worse...

Anyone familiar with FMLA? My question is that if I were to take leave now, baby is due Jan 19th, would this year's end at Jan 1st then restart? Giving me a longer fmla because it's combined by the two years? Or would my leave be shortened by 2 weeks due to taking it a little earlier?

Baby shower was yesterday! Saw so many people I hold dear, missed a few others I thought would come. Guess when it's thus close to Christmas everyone's priorities are different! Also, I ripped the butt out if my jeans during the thing.. How embarrassing!

32 weeks today, excited for Wednesday because I'll have a non-stress-test and an ultrasound. Woo. Sorry, had to share!

So, I've said before that I'm a huge risk pregnancy. I have type 1 diabetes, and although I'm controlling it reasonably well, the last ultrasound showed the baby to be overweight by almost two pounds. My next ultrasound is Friday so I'm nervous.
It also doesn't help that I randomly heard two women at work talking about diabetics and their stillborn rates being high. That TERRIFIES me. I can feel her squirming about daily but I can't shake the feeling. So now I'm worrying about the baby having t...

So, my baby is over weight. Wonderful. Appearantly she should only be approximately 1.3 lbs but is now around 3 lbs. and although my sugars are being monitored like crazy (13 times a day) she's just steadily gaining at an unhealthy rate. I've had type 1 diabetes since I was 8 and I'm on a pump now but it's still hard. I'm being told it will most likely be an early delivery and also that it will be a c-section now. Just had to post cause I don't have many to talk to about it.

New to the app, just wanted to say hey-o to all of yah! I'm 26 weeks as of Monday. High risk type 1 diabetic on a pump. I'll be having my ultrasound again tomorrow, so yay for getting to see my little girl again tomorrow!
