Почему врачи советуют вводить арахисовое масло с 4 месяцев?

The doctor told me yesterday to start introducing peanut butter to baby Josie.. when did they start wanting you to start babies on foods so early? She’s just still so young and my last babe, (I don’t wanna feed her food yet that means she’s growing up 😭😂)

Anywho, I know it’s for allergy purposes but I feel like 4 months is just so early.

Yeah, I thought it was so early 🤔 she says it’s just good for allergy purposes and it like prevents allergies.. i’ve always waited until like the babies were at least six months or when they were showing signs that they were ready. I don’t think Josephine is ready at all.

Way too soon, I am kinda surprised they suggested that.. I don’t think I introduced peanut butter until a year old. But I would do whatever you’re comfortable with and when she’s ready you’ll know.

OMG way too soon my jaw kind of just dropped open when she said that to me…

I made that mistake with my oldest & never repeated it. Baby girl will let me know when she’s ready.

@whereswaldo, @supermomof4, I thought the same thing… she said just put some on your finger and rub it around in her mouth. I usually will take advice from the doctors if it’s reasonable, but to me this isn’t reasonable it’s way too soon

Go with your gut. You are mom and know what’s best. I’d wait until she’s ready before introducing it. I remember when they used to tell you to wait until a year old before peanut butter. SMH

I think 6 months is perfect to start introducing foods. I have a hard time giving her Tylenol. I can’t imagine what the peanut butter would do 😂

I think there’s a big difference between feeding and exposure. Exposing to allergens is similar to vaccines in that it makes your body familiar with the “threat”, in this case a high allergy food.

Ohh it totally get that, I just feel like 4 months is too early. I’ve never had a doctor tell me this info this early.

it’s definitely a newer thought. There are even powdered products out there to add to baby’s milk for allergen exposure. I’ve heard it more this time around than with my other two and they’re only 7&5

hmm that’s interesting, I haven’t bottlefeed in eight years so I did t know that. I never heard any of the stuff with like my five and my eight-year-old so it must just be new changes.

If it would have “prevented” my youngest from his nut allergies I would have done it. This was never brought up to us. But ultimately, your decision!

It’s gotta be a newer thing cause with Juliette I don’t think I was ever told to start peanut butter this early..

My doctor said to start between 4-6 months. My baby wasnt very interested until closer to 6 months though.

I don’t think any of my kiddos were really into anything until like 6 months either

I started soft foods at 3m and peanut butter around 4 she loved it!! Just thinned it out so it wasn't sticky.
