I hope to the gods we never have to rent a card again. So we've had a rental since last Tuesday and everything's been fine with it other than I noticed the first time it rained the back wiper blade didn't work so I thought nothing of it and said oh well just doesn't work you know. Next time it rained tried it again still didn't work and again thought whatever don't need it anyway. I went to go put my twins in the car to take them to their bus stop around the corner and I noticed the wiper blade in the back is just like hanging downwards like loose. So I told my husband and I asked him if I should call them and let them know that it was been like this basically because it hasn't been working since we got it. So the girl gives me like major attitude on the phone and I wasn't giving her any attitude, I was just explaining to her what happened, she goes well didn't the person walk you around and show you the car, I go not really like real quick. She's like well was it hanging down then? I'm like I don't know I don't remember staring at the back wiper blade to see if it was okay. She's like oh I'm the one who took you around she's like and it wasn't like that we don't give our rental cars to people with broken parts. I'm like well something was wrong with it before because it definitely wasn't working when we first started renting it. And she gives me attitude didn't even say bye to me just like slam the phone down, so now they're going to try to charge us for b******* when FedEx truck is the one who hit our truck that's getting fixed. I freaking hate Enterprise and especially this girl who gave me attitude for no reason. Like I'm not one to lie, I will tell them if it was my fault, it's literally been like that since I had it I just never noticed if it was hanging down or not and it for sure wasn't working. I'm sure it loosened up over time for me trying to get it to turn on. I wish I never called them now. Never has a situation with a rental car. Cuz this is the first time for both me and my husband. Literally no scratches no dents near it, I didn't run into anything. Has to be a joke on my life. And 100% they don't check over these cars that well when you return them because when I went to open the trunk the other day to put the food in there from the food store there was candy wrappers like Reese's candy wrappers with chocolate all on them, there's finger marks and lip marks all over the back windows from whoever had it last
Well she walked me around quick she didn't stop like have me like examine anything she just showed me the one side like the measurement of like a crack in a dent and what they would charge you for. And I never like stared at the back windshield to see if it was like hanging down I never even looked at I was in a rush to get to work but since we've had it it hasn't worked at all though.
Always always always go over a rental with a fine tooth comb. Report every single scratch dent or anything that is off about the vehicle. Because they will nail you.
That sounds like a really s***** business that they would nail us for s*** people did before us. Seems like a shady thing they would do is set the car up to have something not be working then blame it on us so we don't get our deposit back and have to pay them more money to get it fixed
It's going to be kind of messed up if they nail us for something we didn't even do that's not right at all. Plus I knew nothing about renting cars this is the first time ever we've done it my husband was supposed to go so I had to go instead because he had a meeting to go to and I was trying to get to work on time but that never happened
