Say by accident or on accident?

Exactly. It's by accident or accidentally. Wth is this?!?! Purposely making me upset. That's what it is. Then claiming 'Alaska Time" and sleeping until noon EST like a layabout. :D

I only heard it when I moved away from where I grew up. It always sounds so weird to me. I say by accident.

It happened by accident. She did it it on accident(as in accidentally).

I say accidentally too! Lol I use all three at different times. But I usually do say "I accidentally" did such and such or "it was on accident".

I really use them interchangeably it just depends on the situation. Generally if I’m talking about myself I would say “on accident” but if it was someone else I would say “by accident”

Same. One is more Canadian or British as compared to American. I use both for sure.
