Ok so u got the first spill out of the way!!! Trust me there will be many more. I know is scary but babies don't break and it sounds like he didn't fall on the floor (blessing). I know u don't want to bring any harm but he is ok and falls happen. What if u lay in the middle of the bed so if u fall asleep the baby would just slide on the bed.
I go to the living room and still doze! Do you have a boppy pillow? I recommend it cuz it kinda helps keep the baby close to you! Also maybe he gracefully rolled with angels helping him :) don't beat yourself up. Just keep an eye on him!

I told my husband this morning that I'll have to start going in the living so I can stay awake, I've fell asleep many times like this :( and my son will start to cry like pp said because the bottle will drop. @babyelephant that's how my son is! 5-6 if in our bed and 1 or 2 in bassinet. :(
Ah this scares me. My daughter sleeps on my chest for most of the night. I put her right in the center. Haven't had any problems yet but I would be mortified if that happened! It's so hard making her sleep in the bassinet when I get 4-6 hours of straight sleep with her on my chest versus 2 hours in her bassinet.
When I get up for night feedings I get on the ipad (usually on this site) to keep me awake bcuz if not my eyes close and I start letting the bottle drop.
Don't feel bad, I remember with my first I'd accidentally hit her head on door frames because I was so tired and misjudged the distance, I learned not to hold babies in cradle position to avoid that.
Last week I was reaching for the baby wipes container (which is on the dresser next to his bassinet) but it slipped out of my hand and landed right on his face, he cried and I felt like a terrible mother but these mistakes happen when we are so tired

Micah is fine, absolutely nothing wrong with him. Could have been so much worse I'm so thankful.
My baby who is 6 weeks old fell a few nights ago from her changing mat that sits on a 1 foot high table, she hit her head and had a small lump but everything else seemed fine, she cried at first for 15 mins then took a bottle and was fine after that, the doctor said that babys are a lot stronger than they look and are less likely to fracture bones unlike adults but if your baby has fell once they settle down you have to feel all over their body and if they cry at one spot then defo get them seen to and keep a close eye for 24 hours after the fall
This is why I never got any sleep when my SO and I coslept with our son. I forced myself to stay up and make sure we didn't roll on to him. Or when my SO would fall asleep holding him, I made sure I watched them ALL night. I was too worried that he'd drop him.
Hope everything is okay with your LO!
Believe me, I feel bad when I'm so tired that I fall and can't hear him cry AT ALL. Seriously lucky that I have my SO.

I'll just have to find ways to make sure I stay awake, I'm pretty sure he's fine but I'm scared to see what will happen if it's happens again. I don't think my heart can handle another scare like that!
It has been happening to me too. I am holding him and he beats me. I fall asleep. I wake up and he is snoozing in my arm. Everyday I say I won't do it. :/ I still do. I can't help it. Last night I can't remember how I got up and fed him. I have bottles prepped with water so I can just add formula. I was afraid I gave himst water. Hopefully you placed him there. Thinking it was the top part.
My older dd was about 4-5 months old and fell asleep in bed with us one night. She had wriggled herself to the top of the bed and I awoke to her screams only to find her half wedged between the wall and the mattress (there is about a foot gap). We had tried to close the gap with some pillows at the beginning of the night But they moved. I was a complete mess! She was ok but I was terrified. Don't beat yourself up because like pp said. We're tired and mistakes happen. And my daughter is 3.5 years and completely fine ;) I hope everything is ok with your babe.

Scariest thing ever, and he didn't even hit the floor he fell in the storage part of the bassinet and I still almost had a heart attack, scariest part was getting up looking his his bassinet and he wasn't there and couldn't find him but could hear him crying. ???
Oh my! I thought I did this in the hospital... I was so sleep deprived it was making me hallucinate! How scary! I'm going your LO is okay as well. Keep us posted when you bring your LO in!
You are NOT a bad mom... These things happen. It was not intentional, and you can't beat yourself up for it... I know, though, that it's easier said than done. Your worry for your LO says you're a good mom to me!☺️

I was planning on taking him in! And it's very very scary! I didn't even remember falling asleep with him ? I thank god from what I can see he is fine. In his BASSINET now just farting and snoozing away. ?????

He seems fine. And cried but he wasnt screaming. It was a cry like "I'm hungry mom get me" not a in pain cry. THANK GOD. As soon as I picked him up he stopped crying, I gave him a bottle and he ate the whole thing and burped, he's sound asleep right now. I checked his head and body and don't see any marks. But will keep checking on him constantly to make sure no complications come up. Thank you.
Hope baby is ok.. Was he crying? I Pray all is well. And don't beat yourself up you're a tired mommy. We all make mistakes. But I pray your baby is fine.

The same thing happened with my daughter....some "perfect" mothers may say you were careless but it happens....though it could really hurt them....my daughter was acting normal and everything but I still took her to the hospital just be on the safe side
