Y’all, does the jealousy of having a new sibling ever go away?

My two year old has been absolutely awful, like to the point I don’t even take the kids out anywhere.
He started getting really bad months before I had Keegan. He started hitting, biting, pinching, screaming, and just everything else in between. Since I had Keegan it’s gotten a thousand times worse. He has started peeing his pants again, peeing on my BRAND NEW couch, he has tried hitting the baby in the head.
I have tried absolutely everything when it comes to disciplining him and nothing has worked.
I’m literally about to lose my mind. I try letting him help with the baby and whatever it is I’m doing that I know he can help with. While the baby sleeps I spend time with him cause it’s just me and the boys until 2:30 everyday when my daughter gets home from school.

Is his dad the same dad as your youngest? He may be lashing out towards that attention instead of the attention from you? See if dad or family can watch baby while you do something special for him…

I think all kids go through this to some extent. But I’m not sure if punishments are just encouraging the behavior cause he’s seeking attention and negative attention is still attention. I would have suggested one on one time with him but I see you’re doing that. Could you put together special bins of special toys, busy items he only gets to play with while you’re tending to the baby, feeding etc. Maybe make it fun. Playdoh, busy books, sensory bins, coloring, etc.

I’ve bought him coloring books, blocks, an stuff like that. I’ve even tried letting him have candy or popsicles lol. I’ve fixed my old phone to where he can get on kids YouTube or play games.

the fact he’s two makes it harder. He doesn’t understand quite yet what’s going on. Why his life changed and where this baby came from and why isnt it leaving. Hang in there. It will get better
