My kids are in such a crap school district. We cannot move due to my husbands job (housing is provided) and to pay tuition at another school is $12,000 per kid. School is 10 days days away and they JUST mailed the kindergarten packet to tell parents who their kids teachers are, what school supplies are needed, bus schedule, everything. They've given zero info except mask mandates. So school is 10 days away and i have no idea who my kids teacher(s) is/are or bus information yet until it comes in the mail. Its really frustrating because i feel so unprepared and school is almost here! 🤦♀️🥴

I was feeling the same way. I felt very overwhelmed doing everything for the first time not for 1 but 3 and felt like I wasn't getting anything. These baby hormones are at her highest too! But as far as they go, and what I didnt know was the teachers didn't get as much time to get in their rooms this year. We got their supplies list like 2 weeks before, didn't know their teachers still. I think it was a Tuesday we found out their teachers, Thursday was open house and Monday was first day of school. I think this year was just a little hectic for everyone! I think the kids have taken it better than me! Hang in there mama!

Our schools gave out supply list early (maybe a month) but we didn’t find out teacher/bus info until back to school night which was two days prior to first day of school.

I found out the teacher and bus route the Thursday before school (started that Monday) . I only got the supply list because it was available online 🤦♀️

I didn’t get busing worked out until the second day of school!!! All the info just disappears out of their system every year!! My son has been in this school for 7 years now and we’ve never moved!!! Frustrating.

We didnt find out till a week before who the teachers were here. The school supply lists here are always available on their school website. The schools seem to be seriously slacking.

This is how my sons school was I literally got a welcome packet a few days ago! And only just picked up supplies yesterday because of it. 🥴

We got most of our info the DAY BEFORE SCHOOL started. At open house. We had our supplies list 3 days prior to school starting.
Sooo I’d take 10 days over that. Lol I think covid has a lot of schools messed up bc I guess this isn’t normal for the school my son is attending but it’s just how things worked out this year. I was stressed out over it!!

That’s a pretty normal timeline other than the supplies. I think people forget that the school staff doesn’t work over the summer and most of the staff aren’t even back to work yet.
