I still can’t understand how the schools are open?!? Where I live in Oklahoma is a dark red almost purple on the first map and we have also been determined a hotspot zone. Cases are climbing higher than ever! Makes no sense to me.

Short Luteal Phase? I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Things I never thought I'd say... Until I became a mom:
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

It's because the US school system is treated as daycare.... Schools aren't open people don't work..many people live pay check to pay check and cannot afford to not work in this economy.... it's sickening and unfortunately a vicious cycle

Jinx! Totally agree. It's daycare so the sacrificial workers can go build the economy and get off unemployment.

exactly but at the same time I look at some people with the side eye....for years "people" (just society maybe for a lack of better words) have been saying going to school, stop having kids you can't afford to feed, have an emergency savings instead of the lastest iPhone but the "sacrificial lambs" don't like to listen....so when they have to get out on the front lines 🤷♀️

It isn't based on any scientific reasoning. It's free daycare so parents can work for the economy. The latest research shows how seriously kids are effected by covid even if they have no symptoms. I am not trying to be dramatic. @ekko can probably have some insight. It is worse than ever right now.

Some states are just crazy! We have not been opened since February. Only private schools.

@icebergahead, and I do understand how hard it is for some family’s but I believe the safety of their health is the most important. Sometimes sacrifices are hard but these are abnormal times. Idk it’s just a huge mess and my oldest didn’t do well with virtual at all but in school he’s a straight A student. It makes me very sad and worried.

PA is super bad. My kids school still won't close and surrounding schools have been doing strict online for months. 🤦♀️ glad i chose the eAcademy.

Maryland public schools are leaving it up to each county to decide. My county is still doing virtual learning. They tried to open up slowly got to grade 2 in early December and shut down again due to rising cases.

I’m in IL. My kids’ school has been open 4 days per week since Aug, but split the elementary population in half by having morning and afternoon sessions. When they went back this week, they are now all back together going all day. They have started offering testing of students every Monday. And I think our teachers will be getting vaccinated very soon! 🤞🏻

Southern California here and what baffles me is that schools are back to normal like nothing crazy is happening. The 8-12 graders are still doing distance learning until 1/22 but the little ones, who in my opinion are the most at risk since they don’t understand distance and keeping their mask on, have been back in school for a while. This entire thing is ridiculous.
I will add my school district NMUSD is “splitting” the day. So half the kids go in the AM and the other half go in the afternoon but it still doesn’t make sense to me. They have like 4 buses pick up all the kids since they can only have one kid per seat and then those same buses pick up the after noon groups no cleaning in between.

My 5 year old still has school. Just got an email saying someone tested positive and they are having anyone that was within 6 feet quarantine and over this weekend they are cleaning the school
