My brother is renting a house for a month down in FL and I want to take the kids for a long weekend.... 9 hr drive is going to be the roughest part. 🥴 We did 26 hr drive when the trips were 11 months and we haven't gone anywhere since because it was rough! 🙃🙃

@scidg3 Too bad you weren't coming closer. I'd say let's meet in a public place to wave and say hello. Lol. Have a great time! That is four hours north of me. While you are there you'll have to drive the hour and half to go to Tampa. Lowry Park Zoo. Get a City Pass and pick your preferred locations to visit. I love the Tampa Aquarium. Hope you have an amazing time!!!

@scidg3 It's super easy. Where we live it takes that long just to get to work in the morning. Lol.

Tablets and snacks! I downloaded puzzles my son could do on my iPad when we had a 16 hour drive. We started in the middle of the night to cut it down but we still did a lot of driving during the day. Also, downloaded episodes of his favorite shows on Amazon prime. You’d probably need headphones for your kids but it’s worth a shot. Also we’d stop to just stretch our legs and walk around. It helped keep his temper in check.

@mswedes nothing against anyone who does, no way I'm trusting my 4 with something so expensive! 🤣 On the way home, it will probably be during the day or late afternoon so it will come in handy! Over the summer I used to play a show on my phone when one was in speech and they did good!

@scidg3, I totally agree. Maybe a fun little goody bag for each with little sticker books and such. My sister did something similar for her kids when they had to fly. She puts little toys and sticker activity books and gave it to them once they boarded the plane. They had no idea and it really kept their attention for quite some time.

You could plan your drive at night and switch off who is driving halfway through. Then the kids would most likely sleep the whole way!

My husband can't drive at night, worthless nipples! 😁 I am a night owl so I'd probably drive. The baby sleeps with me so I'm curios to see how he does.

@scidg3, Darn! Get some new toys or books that will hold their attention for a long period of time. That’s what we’ve done when we’ve flown and it has worked every time. Good luck! A getaway sounds lovely!

Starting TWW. Anyone else?

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

Driving music Alright, ladies. I am about to embark on a cross country journey with my 3 year old, my 2 month old, a puggle and a dear friend who is crazy enough to want to help. We are going to be on the road for 5 days and we are going to need some music to survive. I'm going to be putting together a playlist. No genre is off limits! So, hit me with your driving music and traveling tunes...
