Game meats baffled my mind. Certain cheeses I could understand for ones that aren't pasturized.

Lots of veggies, chicken baked. Lots of chicken.

I wish. But yes and my friend is a college educated woman that is pretty darn smart. So I was shocked that she didnt ask more questions or ask for research.

I asked for all research before I agreed with the doctor.

Nope. Her doctor in SC is a woman. I'm just assuming a doctor on a power trip that refused to keep up with current recommendations.

@no062014 I'm not even sure of a time in history when pregnant women weren't allowed to eat fruits. I'm surprised the dr didn't tell her to cut out eggs, lol

@mywittyusername my doc went over some of that with me during my pregnancy with my daughter. He said just to rinse my fruits well. Same thing with my veggies. And careful with fruits so I didnt get to much sugar in my system but that was it. I am surprised but eggs probably went under dairy for this doctor too.

Me too. And the worry with wild game meat probably is bacteria and such. However when prepared correctly like any meat the risk is minuscule like eating store bought meat. Personal I hate store bought meat pumped with antibiotics. I prefer wild game meat (so much healthier), and I get my other meats from local farmers and butchers and check to see what they give their animals before purchasing. Then I just prepare the meat correctly. Never been sick that way.

The doctor she had should have done more research though bc she told her not only no wild game meat but no dairy either so no milk, no cheese at all, and no butters.

Yeah that’s weird to say no fruit/dairy/butters. Is she diabetic and having a hard time with keeping her numbers in control? That’s the only other thing I can think of for the fruit dairy and butters.

@fairykarmamomma nope. Not overweight either. She is very active and healthy. Is on her feet everyday. Worked till the doctor told her she was getting induced at 40weeks bc she doesnt do overdue and 40 and 1 is overdue.

I'm a medical assistant so I asked her all the questions I would ask any new expectant momma. I will see her this weekend and got some info coming from one of our fertility/obgyn specialists that she got right from the obstetrics board. She is even handwriting notes for her explaining what is and isn't okay and why.

@kush_queen420 I have no idea. Her lo is going to be 2 in about 3 weeks and she is about 30 weeks now. I called her fiance over to talk to him to bc he was really pushing that the doctor told her. After I had a long talk with both of them about it i got up and got her a damn hamburger, some pasta salad, baked beans and home made mac n cheese, a gatorade and told her to get some nutrition into her system..it may not be the healthiest stuff but damn. There was a lot missing in what she able to get.

@kush_queen420 she is back in NY to live and has my doc. So I know what he is going to say bc they were questions I had while pregnant. He is going to tell her the other doc is a damn nutcase and to eat everything she wants and drink whatever she wants except for alcohol, and just limit caffeine (2 large dunkin cups a day are okay in his eyes).
