Is it breaking anyone else's heart that their nursery kids might never see the staff/ kids before starting reception in September? Charlie's nursery is separate from the school he is going to and a lot of the kids are going up to a different school. I dunno, just makes me feel sad that it might have been the last time he saw any of them and we didn't even know it. No nursery 'graduation' no end of year trip. Ugh

Yes I feel like this my daughter will probably go up to year 1 and she keeps talking about how she can't wait to see her friends "certain friends" and to think she might not have them in her class again.. The teacher that she seemed to bond with really well may not be hers and no settling in period kind of thing to get them all used to the big change?
After being at home with us all for so long it's probably going to be hard for them too, to go back to school / nursery again.
I don't want to talk about it with her as I guess it will make it worst, you can't go out, can't do this or that, your birthday party was cancelled etc the long list of stuff that's happened ready then to add on.
I thought I was just being a bit of a drama queen but glad someone else feels like this too. X

Maya goes to a nursery that is part of a school that goes to year 6
She got her reception place there but we are moving :(
So yeah I’m very upset 😢

On so many levels. Max has been at the same nursery & gone through the rooms with the same group of children. I feel bad he's missing out on the most important part of nursery - leading up tp school. Like Morgan he does absolutley nothing with me at home! Got him sat down for about 5mins the other day for phonics that's about it!
