If schools open back up are you ladies sending any kids to school ??
Edit : if you have to work where are your kids going ? You and partner/husbands w.e
If your a stay at home mom
Please don’t comment I’m sorry lol
My daughter isn’t in school yet but I would have to send her to school. My husband can’t quit his job nor can I. We could likely both telework to keep her home but she wouldn’t be learning as she should since we still have to work. I want my daughter to have structure and social interaction. I think those are vital. I feel I personally could not homeschool well and she would fall behind as well.
I’m
With you
Many moms don’t have the luxury to stay at home like my self so work is crucial !
No! I am going to homeschool them. My oldest been homeschooled seen 4th grade. He started high this year.
Yes I am a stay at home mom. And I do have my own business and work on a second one.
I havent made a decision yet. I'm waiting to see the counties plan for students which should happen Wednesday. I've been working from home since March and have already been told we wont go back until atleast January. If my children go back to daycare and school I lose all my support because both sets of grandparents say they can't risk getting sick. Right now I'm on the fence I more so want my kids to have that social interaction plus my oldest has speech at school but if its dependent on then wearing masks and school seeming miserable, my oldest will atleast stay home
I actually have been wanting to post about this I just haven't ain't have the time for the rude comments. But yes indeed when school opens back up my daughter will be going to Kindergarten. I am a working mom and my husband works as well we don't have no family support down here because were not from here all our family is back at home. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to stay home with their children as much as I would want to I just can't I have to make sure my kids have a roof over their heads, running water, electricity etc bills still have to be paid regardless if its a pandemic or not everybodies circumstances and living situations are not the same. And due to my work schedule I will not be able to homeschool and plus I do not have the patience to homeschool 🤷🏽♀️ but as a parent I will be taking the right health and safety precautions for my child the school is as well. The school district hasn't decided on their plans for the next school year yet but if they decide to open schools back up my daughter will be attending.
@mamaof2soon, Right girl right like bye bye kids have a great day ✌🏾✌🏾😂😂
@proudmommyoftwo_, see ya wouldn’t wanna be ya lol
Lmao
Us working parents are doing whatever it takes. And some of us have absolutely no family support where we live (out of state grandparents etc.)
I’m hopeful my employer might let me do a hybrid schedule, part in office and part work from home if we only have school part-time. Our school district hasn’t announced plans yet.
I’m the SAHM who also makes money on the side and I’ve decided to start my own company as well. My son is going back for his special education needs. While we have lots of in home support and I have a retired father, my son has a social and communication issue which makes school important. Also, my company launches 9/1 so I need those few hours a day for daytime work. My husband should be recovered to go back to work in October. It’s just a lot and we go one day at a time. I’m ready for distance learning if need be too. The village is strong and we do what we gotta do.
Side note: Rona has hit hard in my family with two deaths so I don’t play with cleanliness and precautions. We only do what’s truly necessary
Nope homeschool ! I was thinking homeschool before the virus but now I'm like defenatly
I will be homeschooling only 2. We have our 14 year old every other weekend. I am a stay at home mom. If I had to work I have no clue what I’d do.
@steviemariemalm, no all family
Lives out of state
My son has an iep so he need that structure even if it’s only two days a week
@steviemariemalm, If you don’t then I would def send them. You guys have to be able to survive. That’s such a tough one though.
@steviemariemalm, yuppp
And both out work and school
Is day time so we can’t even do night option and not send to school
You homeschool 3 kids ? Are you a stay at home mom ?
I haven’t the slightest idea yet. I’m so worried really. I need to go back to school as well as work so it’s like 😬😬 but I may look into some schools still
Yes. I have to. I will be going back to school too. If he doesn’t go to school he’ll go to daycare. If my university decided to limit face to face classes then I will have to think about it. Right now my program said they are looking to have us go on campus like twice a week, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I can have him home because I still need to be present during lectures virtually and do homework. I will also be doing clinicals via telepractice and I definitely need a quiet space for that. Also, I’m not toooo worried because his classroom size is 10 children due to his IEP thank goodness!
@mamaof2soon, from what I’ve read I don’t hear to many kids cases (I don’t actively follow news but nothing has jumped out )
@mamaof2soon, yes my son as well. He loves being home but I already see the consequences from less structure in his life. I really don’t want him in daycare because there is less structure there and they are not really trained to deal with his special needs so I worry. I mean I trust them 110% and he’s good there but not every single day. He will get bored and start acting up. I also haven’t heard many kids cases around here.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I was hopeful to send my son to preschool next month but I don’t know.
