Advice on a good sippy cup to get a child from bottles
My daughter is almost 3 and I know I may get the bad mom lecture but when I throw them out my husband manages to buy a new one or give her one of brentleys
Advice please
I need to seriously get her broken of bottles and we been working on potty training 🥰
My baby is still on the size bottles that you get in hospital because the tete on the tommee tippee bottles (and any other bottle) is too big for her... but i think I need to get her on the normal bottles now but is she still to small? She’s just over 6 pounds 🤔... Or what is everyone else using to bottle feed baby at about that weight ?
So I wanted to name my daughter Serenity & then my brother & parents called me after they had a whole house meeting saying the name “wouldn’t get her a job”.. now I’m back to square one 🙄
I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you aren’t the one that has to pick up all these toys. You aren’t the one who has to put them back. He never picks up toys. Everyone wants to get the toys out for her out no one ever wants to help me pick them back up. The fact that I said not to let her get anything out of the box more than 5 times really pisses me off. You may be her grandparent but you aren’t her parent. So now I have mass toys to pic up on top of the toys she already had out from this morning
How did you all wean your child off the bottle? My daughter won’t drink her milk out of a sippy cup for nothing...but will drink her juice out of one..

My last son is 3 recently,at 6month’s his pediatrician told us they recommend sippy cups “ so he has done great with water he will take it, & since having my older 2 son’s “things change, we use dr browns sippy cup he’ll drink water only from it “I have soo many sippy cups I’ve bought to get him away from the bottle too “he will only take milk in his bottle ,my other son’s were off the bottle by 2yrs , I know can’t what your going thru “he loves his almond milk 👌

We just completely removed the bottles and let my son try a few different ones and that didn’t take he just got frustrated I left him a 360 cup out and he got the gist of it within 2 days. Now he’s obsessed and can actually take drinks out of a normal cup if needed.. he’s was 1 at the time. But damn glad we did it like that bc he would never hold a bottle now he’s all abt holding his big boy cups

You don't get the lecture, your husband is the enabler. You're doing the right thing in this case. Honestly, is all about what the kid likes. Do you have a Burlington? They have sippys of all kinds and they're cheap. Take her with you and let her choose the design. At this point, make a big deal about whatever she likes and she'll like it. Call her a big girl and praise her. Your husband needs to get on board as well. No more bottles. Your son can start with sippys as well at his age. Perfect timing before your new baby comes.
