please I need help understanding some lyrics of a song in English! In english class, my niece got assigned a song, she has to listen to it and write down the lyrics. She did a pretty good job for most of it (thanks to Google I'm pretty sure?) but she is missing little bits of it. She doesn't speak English fluently but is doing her best to learn, the teacher was very clear about the importance of handing the assignment with the all song! Does anyone have 5 minutes to help please?! Thanks!

I hate my generation sometimes ? Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. This girl had no idea who Eric Clapton is. ? ♀ One of the most iconic songs, and she had no idea. I hate my generation. ?
