Okay so long story short, I got my period a whole week earlier than I’m supposed to on the pill. My sugar pills are about to start in 2 days so my question is, do I skip it & go right into my next pack since I already had a period? Or do I take them & get another whole period right after this one?

I have never actually taken the sugar pills, I just figured this was an easier way of asking than explaining how I skip that row. My doctor always told me it was up to me to take or not.

oh okay. I always took them because if I didn’t, I would get confused. I take them but you don’t have to.

that’s why my doctor said a lot of people take them is to keep in the habit of taking them which makes sense. I used to take em but they never helped me actually remember lol. Only my alarm usually does but my dumbass loves to hit ignore & think I’ll take it but I forget 🤦🏽‍♀️

There really isn’t a need to take them. I only do the sugar pills once every three packs

I never take the sugar pills. My period always comes on a Thursday/Friday without them.

@ltee, @scream.queen, @aababysquad, I’ve never actually taken the sugar pills either I just don’t take any & my period comes, my doctor always said that was fine they were there more for people to continue the habit of taking them. But my question was should I skip my actual period that I’m due for & go right to the next pack or get a period again anyway & then start my pack as I usually would?

yeah let me know what she says. I’m curious as they all have a different opinion. I actually have my prescription written as “active pills only” so that I can get 4 packs instead of just 3 for a 90 day supply. It’s basically the same as taking seasonale or whatever those special packs were called. I probably wouldn’t have stopped either if I had only been taking the packs regularly with a monthly period so you were probably on the right track with that

funny fact about it... the guy who helped creat the pill felt that it was more natural to have a period every month and it was helpful in appeasing Catholics who had been taught that birth control was wrong. Not due to medical necessity

wow that’s super cool to know, I might ask my doctor about that next time. But I am signed up to get my pills with the pill club so idk how I’d handle it with them, I guess my doc writes the new prescription & then maybe I’d send it over to them. Either way I might look into that cause I could DEFINITELY get used to no period again without actually being pregnant lmao

I would say the best thing is probably to get a period again as much as that would stink just so you don’t mess up your packs

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
