A friend of mine got evicted and had no place for her dog. I offered to take him in. She claimed he’s a great dog. I’ve realized he’s very aggressive towards everyone. He attacked my dog today and bit up her ear really badly. What do I do from here? I do not want this dog anymore. Not around my dog or children.
Honestly I’m very angry I believed her and I’m also angry she lied knowing I have small children.

It’s freezing where I am. I don’t want to keep taking care of this dog for the safety of my children but I still can’t be cruel to him. He’s in a cage with a muzzle for now

She may have been desperate. Do you have a kennel or a closed area until you reach out to her? The dog is probably more stressed away from her and may injure others. I hope you can reach her and keep dog in a confined and safe area away from everyone until then.
She may have to find another place or give the dog up😞
Do not chain him outside. Many things could happen to him if he gets scared/ not used to being outside etc.

@nicoledesire90, wow.... speechless. There are places to surrender a pet. I can not believe she would just say to leave him out on the street.
Try getting info at vet offices, shelters. Many organizations will take the dog and all they need is a signed document that you are surrendering the pet.
There should be places to surrender the dog in your County. Until so, keep him confined away from any more contact with your dog to avoid serious injuries. Keep him comfortable. Poor guy.
God bless you for not listening to her suggestion. Leaving a dog out to fend for itself after living in captivity is just not good ownership, period.
