So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

I agree with you. I don’t have a problem with celebrating another baby but having a shower where you expect more presents is a little crazy. Realistically you should have every thing you need at this point so why not have a diaper shower instead? I wouldn’t expect anyone to give me three separate presents just because I’m having another baby.
I don't see nothing wrong with it. Every baby should be celebrated.
Celebrated yes but asking for mass amounts of gifts and having a registry is a little much
@courtney017 probably so I never did registry I don't follow them when I buy shower gifts either
I had a baby shower for all 4 of my kids but we never ask for gifts it's just basically food and cake to celebrate I guess it's more like a get together lol
See that’s totally different! This girl has a long ass list of things she wants
I get what you mean because I know a girl who has a baby literally every year and throws a huge baby shower each time. I understand wanting to celebrate each baby which I definitely agree with but asking for lots of gifts each time is like taking advantage of friends and family. I’m not saying small little gifts like bottles and diapers. This girl registry be full of expensive stuff strollers, car seats, cribs, expensive brands of clothes. I think if you want to have multiple showers you shouldn’t expect expensive items people have already bought you less than a year ago... I just don’t go when she invites me but it doesn’t bother me lol if her friends and family want to buy her those things every year that’s up to them.
Exactly!! Which is what I’m trying to say but everyone wants to take everything out of context. If she wants to ask for things then make a registry but she’s literally throwing a baby shower and paying for a venue and buying food and drinks like why not spend that on ur child instead of throwing yourself a baby shower? She has a registry and is throwing a baby shower asking for diapers and stuff. Like all that money ur spending on the baby shower could be used for the things you are asking for. She asks for baby formula to even after she has her kids.
@courtney017, I get what you mean girl. Anytime someone doesn’t agree with something everyone always thinks they’re hating lol.
@alicianoelle, and now they are salty I deleted their comments lol
@makeupmomplustwo_, i deleted comments that had ride replies
@mom.uncensored, there’s no excuse to leaving a child alone in a car 🤦🏻♀️ people try to justify everything
I know ppl who have them, even if they're the same gender and close in age. I personally didn't have a 2nd one but I did get like 90 gifts from my church family & hubby's family/my family, which was so nice♡♡
Gifts are a totally different thing lol but having a full blown baby shower especially when no one came to ur second is kinda weird in my opinion
I had a friend who got pregnant with another boy when her son was like nine months and she had another baby shower which I mean was whatever. But what bugged me was that in her registry she had all this stuff for her son and the baby. And basically wrote not to show up to her baby shower if you hadn't brought two gifts for each kid 🤷🏽♀️
And of course she included a lot of items that she already had from her other baby but quote she couldn't use that because her son had used it...
@courtney017, her oldest daughter is 2 and her youngest daughter is 1
That's so crazy!! I'm not even doing a shower. This is my first and she's the first grandbaby ever for my parents. We are doing a registry because we do have a lot of family from out of state but we still don't even expect anything for our first. Other than clothes and her infant carseat/stroller all our big baby items are gender neutral. That way I can save the pack n play, bouncer, rock n play, swing, etc. I didn't want to have to worry about those things twice. Anything I can store and keep we are.
@madhatter, now I’m being called jealous and getting rude ass replies from some of these moms 🙄
I think it depends on how close in age and gender ? If she has all the same gender and they 9 months apart lol then that’s a lol excessive lol 😂
All her kids are like 10-12 months apart
I think it depends on how close the kids are and are they the same gender?
My girls were 4 years apart so I started completely over. I had already gave all her baby stuff away. I personally don't like hoarding stuff so 🤷
They are only like 10 months apart
If she can afford it that's great I didnt want a baby y shower for my 1st one but a friend invited all my friends and didnt deliver so I had to take over that's how it happened and the second baby my church surprised me I did enjoy some of the gifts they really helped me and I am thankful I was able to get baby showers and celebrate my children before they where born:)
@verguinia, it really doesn’t. Like use that money for the things you need
@courtney017 I did that actually I got a stroller and bed and mattress

No that sounds a little ridiculous. Especially it being her 3rd unless it was a different gender. I had 2 showers but that’s only because I had a girl and then a boy 2 yrs later (and honestly didn’t even want a shower lol).
It’s a boy this time but she’s already gone and gotten stuff for him and her family has already gifted her a bunch of stuff
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
What would you do? - baby shower
SO my mom has been very negative about the baby my entire pregnancy. Especially in the beginning, she said the most HORRIBLE things about me, my DH and my unborn baby. Like that I was making a big mistake, that I was making her 2015 the worst year ever... etc etc. Even when she would do nice things she made me feel like I was a HUGE inconvenience and a burden to her. She told me to definitely NOT expect a shower or anything like that from her. Fine, whatever...
My significant other hasn’t been to one appt. am I crazy for being bothered about it? I’m already depressed I’m having another baby. I didn’t even want anymore. I feel like I don’t have the support I need.

This lady thinks I’m wierd because I only use about one pack a month.
Like I told her you don’t always have to wash A girl with wipes you can put them in the sink with some soap and water.
I think she thinks I’m crazy 😂

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
