What do you guys think of when people feel the need to say happy Father’s Day to you even when you’re a mother

I think it’s really annoying when people say that. Like that’s great if you are a great single mom but in my opinion no mother can be a father role 🤷🏻‍♀️ there’s certain things only a father can teach some kids . And kids can obviously grow up without and still be amazing obviously , I was and I’m fine . There’s just some things that I will never be able to teach my son and or future daughter about men or being a man because well, I’m not one . You can be an amazing mother without having a father figure around . There’s no need to celebrate both days to yourself because you’re only a mom, not a dad. Shout out to all the moms out there that do it both, but I think it’s just taking away from all the amazing dads out there that work their asses off to provide for their family , or are even raising their kids alone !

I think it takes away from fathers day. Because you don’t see single fathers parading around claiming Mother’s Day just because they’re a single parent. I can appreciate a person who takes great pride in being a great parent but to me, you’re not doing the work of a mother and FATHER. As a mother, we’re not doing anything a father would do, we’re not men. We may have a shit ton of work on our plate but that’s no credit to a father..that credit to YOU because you’re a damn good MOTHER💕

When I was a single mom I felt good because i saw that others saw my hard work it's hard on your own with a child you feel overwhelmed alot and try your best to fill that space missing in thier heart and to see see someone sees my hard work on fathers day and my child never met him or had uncles or grandpa so her father day card had nowhere to go from school she gave it to me and that's how it was I took it as a compliment and was happy she had me to give it to.

That’s weird your a mother not a father even if the dads not there your still not the father

Why? That’s weird. I’ve never had that happen.
