I hate doing this to her but I really don't want her to suck her fingers. She sucks the middle and index finger. She refuses any pacifier I give her. She already has one tooth at the bottom and I don't want her to be sucking them when the top ones come in. The doctor said it's a phase and it'll pass but I'm afraid she won't and spoil her teeth. Did any of your kids just stopped by themselves or did you have to do this?

@lucky18, these things saved my boys’ hands. It kept them from actually sucking their hands or fingers, and it gave them the relief and pressure they needed to soothe their sore gums. I don’t remember what brand I had but it was fantastic until we lost it.

If she’s teething then it makes sense why she’s sucking on her fingers she’s self soothing and it gives her a little bit of relief.

All my kids have teethed on their fingers , and I let them it’s safer than most products out there and it passed . None of my kids sucked fingers past the teething stage .

Be careful that the sock isn’t too tight around her arm. I made that mistake with my niece years ago and I still cringe thinking about it.

I move it around. I try mittens but she's able to pull it off but I do keep an eye on it

@lucky18, I never used mittens and always did socks. I one time put my socks on my niece and didn’t realize how tight they were around her chunky thighs. She had scars and I still feel guilty about it when my sister brings it up. 😖

@mswedes I'm so sorry that happened. I'm sure if you knew it would've caused that to happen you wouldn't have done it so don't feel guilty.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

FTM problems... So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It's making me sad. Like I wish I could quit my job and be home with her.
