Advice for a super clingy baby all of a sudden. So my son has always slept in his bed in our room and all of a sudden now he won’t. He has to be in bed with us and touching me. I just have in the past 2 nights because of not he just wakes up every 30 minutes crying. And right now we don’t have a room for him. And my daughters room is upstairs with ours so I can’t let him cry it out or he will wake her. Help I’m desperate here.

Thanks ladies. I didn’t realize this was as common as it is! I was spoiled with my daughter. Lol she is super independent. Also it makes more sense because he is super clingy just to me. If I walk out of his sight he gets mad. I’m just glad that when he stays the night once a week at my moms he sleeps for her. I was worried my bad habits would affect how good he is there.

This is just me in my opinion. I’ve experienced something like that with all six of my babies. I find that they’re wanting the physical contact and a touch of their momma because they need the extra comfort and feeling of security. It could be a psychological growth spurt that causes it or it could be that they’re reaching some other milestones but I typically find that my kids do the same. I give them the comfort of being near me because number one and I want them to know that I’m there whenever they need me. But also because it helps them (again in my experience and situation) to outgrow the need for that extra comfort more quickly.

And either they will outgrow the panic of not being near you when they need to be or you can gently slowly ease them into being in their own space again

It’s separation anxiety. Which I never thought would be a milestone for babies, but it is

My sons started at 8ish months too. It’s still happening and he’s almost 11 months. I talked to my doctor about it and its completely normal. It’s actually a sign of good mental development. The peak of it is from usually 9-18m.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
