I’ve read a lot of articles about potty training boys....cuz ya know....we don’t pee the same way. 😂😂😂 a lot of the articles say to not even try training. Encourage their own natural interest in the bathroom and the potty and let them go if they ask to go. Otherwise let it come in it’s own time.

I will have to try this with him because I got him his own potty and some pull ups he show zero interest in either .. he hates the the pull ups

what we do is just take him with us to the bathroom. And at first he started showing interest in the big potty. Wanting to help us flush it and open the lid. And then we got him a little potty of his own and didn’t force him to use it or sit on it. And all on his own he will ask for his diaper off and sit on it by himself. He doesn’t go yet. But use lots of encouragement and praise when he does even if he doesn’t go.

My daughter is about 70% and we just started almost a month ago. I would sit her on the toilet which took me a year to do until she recently gave in & she started using the bathroom. I would jump and clap & she would be so excited, so now she always want to use the potty

We didn’t potty train our kids. They did it entirely on their own. All 4 were around 3.5-4.

feliciagarza98

They just stopped using diapers and took to it on there own ?

yup. One day they were in diapers. The next day they asked for underpants and never had a single accident.

My son was 2.5. He basically did it on his own, went from diapers one day to underwear the next and never looked back. I know I got lucky with him 😂 but if he’s not ready, don’t push it! Boys generally take a bit longer than girls. Keep bringing him to the potty, give him lots of praise when he does go. Maybe do a reward chart or some other form of positive reinforcement. He’ll get it! 😊

Thank you hun ! My in-laws make me seem like a bad mom for him not being potty trained yet and I’m like well I’m not going to push him if he’s not ready lol

I haven’t did my son yet. But I took my daughters diaper off. Sat her on the potty every 20mins. All it took was one or two times peeing in her pants and she realized she didn’t like it. But she was beyond ready. She would take her diaper off and try to change it herself.

My 3yr old still isn't potty trained... he's been very difficult to train so I'm not even bothering right now until we move

raisinglittlegamers

Uhhhh

I recently decided to give it another go.

We wear panties or go commando.

Boys usually do well with the cheerio trick.

I take my daughter to the potty every 1 hour to take a potty break.

Some kids are also Better if you suggest instead of asking.

Like instead of "do you need to potty"

Try

"Mommy's taking a potty break, you should take one too"

My oldest wasn't potty trained until 2yrs 10 months lol I would use lolipops as a reward

I never forced him into doing it. I literally left him and he went by himself. They do when they’re ready and he was 3 at least before he started doing it himself, I threw him in at the deep end and just bought undies for during the day and he told me when he needed a wee etc..the “poos” came afterwards and then he just wore pull-ups for bedtime, we got there in the end🤗x

I had a hell of a time with my boy. Even at 4 he was still pooping in his pants. Prek over here actually helped him and he was good. Hoping my girl can be fully potty trained way before I have a little more time at home now then when my son was little

All my kids were potty trained by age 3. Only two of my girls were fully potty trained at 2 years.

I did the 3 day potty training with my daughter when she turned 3. She was fully trained in 3 days. Had one accident during the day and 2 at night in the first month of being trained.

Mine was potty trained at 18 months. We skipped pull ups and went straight to underwear

Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
