Okay, so i just have a question
(note im getting him into the dr monday)
My oldest will be 3 in june, for the past month or so he randomly tells me his leg hurts, and now for the last couple of weeks he has been getting random fevers that last for about a day. He had one last night while my boyfriend was at work and starting hitting his head as if it were hurting. I give Tylenol, but i know this cant be normal.. So my question is, has anyone been through this with any of their babies and it not be anything serious? Im just worried about my baby🙁
@nap.queen, @doubleksmommy, Really guys? I’m trying to help this mom out just as much as she would have helped me word of advice read read read I’m not SAYING that’s what the young man have I said it sounds like that which means it could be a different variety of things..
I think your comment may have scared her more than our replies. Thats like saying if someone posted thst their child has a bad cough/sore throat for a couple days and someone says..."she might have throat cancer.....thats one sign of it".... like come on 😑 THATS HOW IT CAME OFF
@doubleksmommy, I’m pretty sure it didn’t scare her because I never gave him a diagnosis of ANYTHING it’s just the way you guys are taking it... I clearly said it sounds like leukemia but could be different just take him to the ER... plus I was talking to her not you guys anyway stop taking things and running with it guys
@mamagunn.no.1, I never STATED THAT IT WAS THAT I SAID SOUND LIKE BUT SHE MIGHT WANT TO GET IT CHECKED FOR ONE THAT IS A EARLY SIGN OF OF Leukemia...you guys need to read properly before sending someone into scare
@jackiebraxton I'm just saying it could be anything, but you literally took the worst possibility and put it out there. Responsible thing to do would be to just simply say I would seek medical attention from a doctor or if the fever gets worse or he is in excruciating pain, go to the ER. It's just a shitty thing to say imo.
@mamagunn.no.1, ok your right I already spoke with the mom me and her on are the same page she’s fine..and already taking the next step as a mom not going back and forth over a comment that left no one in scare but I get what your saying love I apologize if it scared you or the rest of the ones that left a comment
@jackiebraxton all good hun. Thanks for the apology, you didn't need to. Glad you get where I'm coming from.
Don’t want to send you into a scare. But definitely get him checked out. A few years ago my niece was 10 years old complaining of leg pain and my sister took her to her pediatrician and he said it was probably just growing pains.. we didn’t even think that was a real thing.. she also had slight fevers with it. The pain didn’t go away and one day her legs just gave out. We took her to the ER and they ran so many tests.. and the pains started spreading ..finally they diagnosed her with Guillain-Barré syndrome. A condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves. Her body went into Paralysis and her lungs collapsed and she was on a breathing tube. Lucky though they caught it quick and medication reversed it and after physical therapy to help her muscles she is 100% okay.. we never even heard of condition ..I’m not saying your son has this because I’m not a doctor but when I hear fever and leg pains it’s important to get him checked. I wouldn’t run to the ER just yet but monitor the leg pain and see if he says the pain is spreading. Make sure get a full checkup.. hope he feels better soon 🙏🏻
Does your insurance have a nurse line you could call? They could probably give you a better understanding of what’s going on and ask you the proper questions to determine if you should take him in or not. My daughter went through leg pain but her doctor told me he can’t do X-rays yet cuz she’s too little. I know every case is different but I’d advice to call even the Hospital and ask to speak to a nurse at least for peace of mind
Yeah, i wasnt looking for a diagnosis, just similar experiences if there are any.
I’m going to start by saying that no sane person in the medical would diagnose a child with leukemia for leg pains.
If the pain and fevers are mild, I would just wait until his appointment. If they get worse before then, and urgent care would be good option. There are so many illnesses going around right now, that ER trip would only make him sick.
Diagnose it over the internet at that! 😱
@hbowen2018, roseola can definitely cause fevers. You’ll get the best, most accurate care with his pediatrician. If it’s not and obvious emergency, and ER is just going to rush him through to make room for other people.
@nap.queen yeah, i dont ever gobto er unless necessary. But kids should get roseola multiple times. Butwhat im talking about isnt roseola. They just spike for a day and thats it. About once a week. Ive never experienced anything like it before.
Just me being in the medical field ma just to be safe I would take him right now...because you never know what could be going on and like I stated you don’t want to push that
I would take him to the hospital you don’t want to push that..especially with a toddler or infant if he is in pain and acknowledging you then I would go seek medical attn then take that paper work to the doctors..
Thank ypu, i will do that first thing in the morning then!
Growth pains maybe?
Won't explain fever but may be pain reason
Would they travel though? Cause it started in his shin and now hes saying its his thigh? (ive never had them so idk what they are like)
@hbowen2018
That's how my oldest describes it.
I also never had them but my daughter is taller than me than I was at her age
so idk what to do im supposed to be moving out with my bf, baby daddy he is 14 yrs older then me and he has his niece that is 25 that lives with him and she has a daughter that's almost 6 but on day she was being stupid and told me that I might have her daughters dad closer then me then i though since then we have had lots of fights about it and he always says it's not his daughter but why would she say that and why would he have gotten so mad when i questioned him about it and every time he pos...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...

This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling...
Am I wrong for telling my Bd that because we not Married my baby don't have to have his last name? He really got mad and told me I was project n ignorant. Crazy part is I was thinking about giving my baby his middle and last name
