My oldest was always at grandma and grandpa's. She did overtired after I weaned her at 18 months. My 4 yr old started at age 3 but she's over there with her big sister. My oldest stayed with her Aunt at age 8. Now she spends the night at her friends house 5 min from us. Started that at age 10. I'm so leary of people though. I still get nervous with her over there 😕

My daughter is at my brothers house right now. She enjoys sleeping over her cousins house. They are the only people I trust

Now that I wouldn’t mind as much bc I know she would have a lot of fun with the other kids.

My kids have only slept over at my MILs house. She’s the only one I trust with them. And my youngest hasn’t slept over there but he’s spent an hour or so for a date night. He’s still breast fed and he’s only 1 so it’ll be a while before he’s ready to stay a night over there with his big brother and sister.

My first two probably after 3 months but just my mom or MIL because I trust them a lot. My third was EBF so I couldn't until he weaned a little after a year. But besides close family and my kids godparents I haven't let them stay anywhere else.

My boys started staying with my in laws at 6 months old. They even took my youngest to Tennessee when he was almost 8 months old.

@destiny. Not a lot of people would! I fully trust my in laws and if something were to ever happen to my husband and I they would take our boys!

@scream.queen, that’s so awesome that you feel that secure about your in laws . Not many people do. I know I don’t 😩😂

my daughter was 2 and a half or so when she spent the night with my MIL. i didn’t want her to, but was basically forced into letting it happen. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@destiny., she’s never stayed with my mom, but that’s because my brother still lives with her, and i don’t trust him to be around her. but she’s stayed quite a few times with my MIL, even though if i had it my way she’d never have spent the night anywhere without me.

I just recently let my son start staying with my mom overnight for one night. He's been there maybe 4 times tops. She wanted to keep him for a whole weekend and I said no just one night. Plus my son will want to go there. He will pack just his undies and want to leave 😂😂

@destiny. Omg yes. She told me if I didn't stop she would turn her phone off. I said go ahead and do it and I'll send the cops to your house to make sure everything is ok because you won't answer 😂😂

Greyson has been staying over my moms house over night since he was about 6 months old. The day my husband and I got married was his first night away from me.

My kids started spending the night with my MIL when they were around 6 months, but back then we lived right next door in case anything happened. We moved 45 min away before my son was born, so he was around a year before he started spending the night with grandparents.

My in laws have babysat over night before for us.

I've never taken my nephews until they were 8. But that's because we wanted them to be able to sleep without support and connect with their parents if they wanted too. We wanted them to be old enough to ask for whatever they wanted or needed.

And for my own kids, I'm not 100% sure when I will allow it. It's hard for me. But I also know that sleep overs can be wonderful for kids, so I'm still on the fence.

Yeah I’m the same way . My parents and grandparents always ask for my daughter to sleep over and I feel bad for not wanting her to go bc then they feel some type of way I think .

Ответить

@destiny. I use to feel bad. Generally I don't. My kids always sleep better at home which helps. Also as my in laws are wonderful.

That being said alot of my family will never be allowed to visit with my kids, let alone a sleep over.

Ultimately, do what feels right for your kids and you. Trust your judgement and your instincts.
