I just came to say that POC (person or people of color) IS NOT the same as saying colored. You tried it though. Calling someone colored is highly offensive!
Holy cow, what is going on? I haven't been on here in about a week but this totally caught my eye. My personal opinion is: there is absolutely 100% no reason for anybody to hate anyone for being different. We're all fucking human beings and if we all look the same it would be boring. If racist people want to be racist then they should hate every tree except for their favorite every flower except for their favorite if they have brown hair they should be racist towards people with blonde hair or red hair if they have straight hair they should be racist towards people that have curly hair. If they want to hate people for being different than they should go ahead and hate everything else . To hate people for being who they are who/what they did not ask/choose to be born is a waste of their own life. I knew someone who once told me they and I quote "I dont like black people because I had a bad experience with one" I was gobsmacked!!! So I said in response "just one and you hate them all?" "How many bad experiences have you had with white people such as yourself? I'm sure it's a lot more then one. But your not racist towards them because you are one. Where the fuck is your logic?" Hatred sucks racism sucks. Anyone who is like that can kick rocks and stay the fuck away from me. I dont have time for that shit. I love everyone and everything 💖

She's teaching her kids that it's okay to use those terms when it's not. By saying that to them they'll think it's okay to describe someone else the same way and history will just repeat itself.

My husband once had an employee accuse him of racism and he said “how? My wife is Dominican”. He came home and told me that story and I said don’t ever say that again. That’s like saying but my friend is black.

So when I was in 6th grade we had a history teacher. And you know how we always had to take turn reading?
Well the book I was reading had the word “ Negro” in it. And when I got to that word, she told me to say colored. So whatever I did. And after class, I had a black friend come to me and told me that it was offensive to the black community. So ever since then I’ve never called anyone “colored”

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
