What do YOU judge Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?

It really depends on the people. Our miscarriage didn't change me or my husbands closeness. But I've heard stories of it going both ways after miscarriage or still birth.

I lost my first at 31 weeks I had an infection that went septic and shut half my body down, along with having diabetic ketoacidosis on top of that, it stopped her heart and it brought us 5x more closer!

My husband lost a child with his previous wife and it definitely caused problems. She started having issues with her gallbladder while pregnant and had to have emergency surgery. She ended up with a picc line and did not follow drs orders on her diet or care of the picc line and got an infection which caused the baby to get an infection and was born a free bleeder. He survived 3 hours. My husband blamed her. She had a miscarriage after that and then eventually gave birth to my stepdaughter but not without complications.

Depends on the couple and their personalities.

So I had a miscarriage idk of this counts but it almost tore me and my husband and our marriage apart. So if that almost did if we lost one of our kids i think that would definitely be it for us

I've been in this situation. When I was 16 I had a stillbirth. It sent my ex crazy to the point that therapy, medications etc did nothing. I put up with severe domestic violence with him for a further 8 years thinking he would go back to who he was before, but sadly it never changed. He was scarred and broken from it, to the point of no return. Still breaks my heart that it affected him that way, even though I have zero feelings for him anymore. I had to get out of that situation though, before my life was in jeopardy.

21 questions today lol.. me and my husband lost our son in March 3 days after birth and i was worried it would have made us distanced but instead it had brought us so much closer he is the only person who shares the same pain as I do in my heart with losing our son we have been each other’s rock since the night our sons heart stopped beating .. I honestly don’t know how i Would have survived without him and our oldest child ..
Wht U Mean ·
I agree with @lottydotty. It would depend on how. If it happened while the child was with the other parent, I don’t think i could stay with them. Like an example, my boyfriends friend lost her daughter because her boyfriend fell asleep at the wheel.
With natural causes and stuff though, idk. I think it would bring some comfort to have someone to lean on that knew them as well as I. But I also feel like that would hurt me even more. Seeing that constant reminder.
But with having other kids in the picture still I would definitely lean more towards comfort and staying together to get through it.

Not sure quite honestly. I would think and hope it would bring us closer but people grieve in different ways and different rates.

It truly depends. We lost my second at 36 weeks and it was definitely hard on us but it really showed us that we needed each other during that time. For us, it drew us closer.
Steph··
@momof3dragons, yes, our family and friends were heartbroken for us but we had to lean on each other since it was our son that passed. I am sorry for you loss.

im sorry for yours too. I knew a few who lost their babies and I had my family but he was my rock and she was our daughter.
Steph··
@momof3dragons, thanks. Yes I totally get what you are saying. When it’s your baby, it’s different.

It drew me and mine closer because we were the only ones relating to the pain. Ive heard of people breaking up because of depression or not communicating about it. Me and my hubs talked about our feelings and helped on to each other when we felt down about it. I had a still birth.

I cant answer that cause i cant even imagine losing my children...
pamelawife134··
I know its hard to think about. My wife and i had a discussion about it last night because of a movie we watched.
Taylor C·
I'm feeling this trivia lol. But I think it depends on the way the child was lost.
pamelawife134··
Lol i always have so many questions lol
But why does it depend on how the child died?
Taylor C··
I'm all for this lol we can do 21 questions lol.
And I can't relate so these are opinionated guesses but, if the child dies in one parents care the other might build resentment and that will tear them apart however if it was a tragic accident they might deal with the pain and comfort eachother.

I agree it can depend on how u are grieving. I think it could tear couples apart.
