Quick question, can a petitioners attorney get in trouble for being unreasonable and communicating rudely to the responders attorney?
Idk I just feel like my son's father's attorney was being incredibly rude all because she asked a simple question.
@jacksmommy17, I was a Legal Assistant for many years and worked with/dealt with a lot of really rude attorneys. I guess it’s just a normal experience for me. Definitely talk to your attorney if you’re concerned.
@aengs2 she told me not to worry too much. Shes had 20+ years and knows what she is doing compared to the petitioners attorney who was just sworn in this month (November)
So my daughters father is filing for full custody and I'm livid. At first he claimed he was just getting our visitation set in stone and now he's filing for full custody and I have to find an attorney. I'm already stressed as it is about to have a new baby and now this. What are my chances of winning full custody or losing it to him?
Grandparents Rights in California
I just got served. Hex cut her mom off so her mom is suing both Hex and Dh for grandparents rights. She has an attorney and court date is 1/5/18.
I really don't care what some of you mommas are going to tell me right now, but I am dying inside. I couldn't get on the bus on Friday, because of the stupid court holding me back for violating a no contact order. The problem was that the judge forgot to sign the papers. So the cops with the help of three very nosy witnesses decided to haul me to jail. Now I possibly have to deal with staying in town longer, just cause I went to court friday, and the judge decided even if it was a mistake on his...
Hey ladies question... (long post)
Here's a little back story, & I don't broadcast this much, but my daughter is not my husbands, biologically. I met my husband when she was 8 weeks old. He's been the rock that holds our family together, while her biological father not only kicked me out of our house at 7 months pregnant (for hiring a professional to clean the house. He called it 'an invasion of his privacy'), he smacked my daughters head into the ground at 4 weeks old because he was angry at me...

So apparently I have to pay my sons biological father back child support he owed me back in November. This makes no sense what so ever and the judge can’t do that. I’ve talked to lawyers and the attorney general and they have never heard of anything like that.
They do have a code of ethics they have to follow. I think in most situations it’s up to the judge really. But honestly that’s just what attorneys tend to do.
