I have an interview in a few minutes for a general shop cashier job; although I wore a loose flowy top - it's pretty evident I'm pregnant. Should I mention it? Like work it into my reasoning or anything...
I work in HR and I would advise not to. Wait until it is absolutely obvious, then you might want to mention it but be prepared because although they can’t fire you because you’re pregnant they could fire you “based on performance” No need to tell them and by law they can’t even ask!
Thank y'all - I didn't mention it. In no way did it feel necessary in the flow of the interview. Girl interviewing was a year or two younger than me and we were a great duo - find out in a few hours if I got it (I think I did)!
I definitely wouldnt. By law they cant ask about kids.. Ect. My old college professor always told us not to open the door and talk about kids bc even though they arent allowed to discriminate, they do and would likely pick someone without kids since they could just say you wasnt a right fit for the job. After you're hired and show your work ethic, its a different story ❤ fingers crossed you get it!
Yes I would , but that just means you will be that much more dedicated to being at work because you need the job .
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I wouldn't. Made that mistake in an interview before I got my current job. This time I waited until I couldnt hide it anymore and it was fine.
