What’s something about pregnancy or giving birth you wish someone told you? For me it’s when they push on your stomach after you deliver that hurt more than contractions

That it’s possible to rip UP AND TO THE SIDE rather than just to your booty

Yes we really do no one really talks about the real deal of pregnancy and being a mom it’s so hard but worth it

How truly AWFUL contractions would be.

Epidurals can fail

Nurses can be more bothersome than helpful. I'm kicking everyone out this time.

C sections are horrible. My vaginal deliveries were so much easier.

Getting my stomach pushed on was worse than c section! I didn't need any pain meds after my c section at all but when they pushed on my stomach I would cringe, it was the worst.

Yes for me that was the worst part and the fact they had to do it so often

• Contractions hurt worse than I thought.

• Avoid a c-section at all costs! Worst recovery. I still have nightmares and that was 3+ years ago. I’m not looking forward to it again.

• Be forceful with the nurses if they try to force something on you you don’t want! I didn’t want to even try to breast feed. Formula was our route and I had 2 separate nurses not shut up about trying to change my mind. I had to finally just be firm and say “no! I’m not changing my mind. Formula is best for our family.” It was hard when they were making me feel bad (“so you’re not even gonna try?!😒”) but, I had to be firm.

Tell me about it!!! They tried pulling that with my sister especially when she had her first kid. They tend to try to do that to First Time Moms. Plus my sister was only 15 but I'm. I tell every single new mother who is about to have her baby don't you let them tell you what you can and cannot do with your baby in the hospital. They think that they can get away with that because you're new at it and they will use it. They kept trying to take my DD back to the nursery so that I could "rest" and I told them no I got to get used to it at some point anyway. The only time I let them take her is when they had to do her vitals and check her waiting on that. But I told them you bring her right back one time they didn't bring her back and I hobbled out into that hallway and started looking for my baby and what did I find when I found her the nurses feeding her a bottle of formula without my consent!!! Even though I eventually couldn't breastfeed I knew she was still getting something the days after she was born and that pissed me off!!

I had no idea I'd be told so many times to stop screaming during labor. Like WTF - YOU push a football out your crotch and see if you can contain your scream!

Oh he'll no, I'd cut a bitch!!! When my sister was having her second child she kicked the doctor across the room because my nephew came out upside down. Not breach but instead of facing down he was facing up and once his head came out the doctor just took a hold of his head and neck and spun him around while the rest of his body was still in my sister!!!

@sleepymommy that's awesome, I'm glad it was easy for you. It took me months to recover. I was in the hospital for 5 days. My incision tore open a little bit in both corners. I couldn't be on any good pain medication because I'm pretty much allergic to all the good stuff. It took me about 4 months to feel mostly better.

@momsrmagical i didn't have a choice my daughter was transported to a level 4 nicu 15 minutes after they cut her out I didn't hold her I didn't get to see her I didn't know anything about her other then she was a girl so for me it was either sit in bed and recover and wait to see the child I just had or suck it up and be a mom and handle what needed to be done.
