They’re so young, tell them about yourself. About the mommy they didn’t get to know. Your favorite movie when you were a kid. Your favorite books, favorite places to go, favorite foods, favorite songs. I’m sure being able to watch or listen or read the things that you did and loved will help them feel a little closer to you.

You have no idea how happy I was to see a post from you! I haven’t been on in a bit and have wondered about you. Last time I was on here, I didn’t see you. You never seize to amaze me. Whatever you record just keep reminding them that no matter what you will always be with them. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you and your family! My mom passed away very suddenly last year and her last words was to her fiance telling him to tell me she loves me. I don't even know what else to say other than just leave reminders to tell them how much you love them.

A video covering your hopes and dreams for each of them and their life path, who you think they will grow to be. How proud you will always be regardless of where they go, what they make of themselves.

You've been so strong through this, and even if some things get left out, I know that your children will see how hard you worked to leave a piece of you. They will know you're always with them and that you love them endlessly. 💕

My mom started a baby book with my firsts and stuff like that but never finished it. I wish she would have so I can read about it.

First job, college, when you miss me, not just first child but first pregnancy you can give a little advice to what it's like.

I know this is weird but maybe important convos like periods, sex talk, or things like that and then talk to dh or someone close to you who can be involved in those and them to answer questions. Middle and high school are tough years so maybe random encouraging words or if not videos letters do those times dealing with disappointment or bullies. I have this little saying I say to my kids every night if you have something like that just word of encouragement. At bed time I tell them "tomorrow is a new day to do big things. Get some rest and be the best you that you can be." Maybe do a build a bear record you saying something like that so they have that special saying when they need it

Seems out of the blue with this post but could you write down about your family history? My mom and grandma are both gone and I wish I had more detail of things.

And maybe some things you did as a child, what your favorite things were and etc.

Not really what you’re asking for, but I would leave them both a file or something with birth certificates, ss cards, and any other important documents. I lost both of my parents, my dad several years following my mom. He didn’t leave me anything of importance. I was a minor with no drivers license, birth certificate, ss card, I. D. Of any kind. I couldn’t get a job or do anything at all until I turned 18, and it was horrible.

I know that you don’t want to think of something like that happening to them. You’d think the loss of one parent is enough on a child, but you can never be too cautious.

Oh KitKat, you are one of the strongest women I’ve ever gotten the pleasure to meet! Adding your history, broken hearts, fights with Dad, difficult teachers, and I want to see/hear Mom messages would probably mean the work to your kids. I wish we would’ve had time to do this for my stepson when his mom passed; he wanted to hear her voice so much.

You are such an amazing woman, mom, and role model. You’re creating a wonderful gift for your children and showing them what it truly means to be strong. Thank you for being such an amazing person!

What about your family history and your life story? That is something I wished I had from my grandparents. You could write these, rather than record.

But I love the idea of the “sound bites”; singing favorite songs, calling them by favorite nicknames, just little bits of encouragement.

I def agree with something when they want to hear your voice when my mom died it was super hard when you imagine talking to them and can no longer remember their voice no matter how hard you try. With this something just a general talk in conversation tone or since your kids are young maybe reading them a book 💜💜

What about the birds and the bees and your period does suck? Maybe some Mommy fun facts, some of your favorite things or funny stories. I love the build a bears with you saying I love you 😍. Things don’t have to be given to them all at once, but at times when they need them. I believe you will always watch over them. Your so brave, amazing and loved by so many 🤗🙏

I'm just scared I'm going to overwhelm the with stuff because I'm just not ready to leave them.
