Mums who delivered with epidural, I’ve heard it’s harder to push as you can’t feel your lower body and the delivery might get longer because of that...Is it true? How was your delivery with epidural?

I had the epidural and I struggled getting her out because of it. I needed forceps and cutting (had a lot of stitches). But the epidural is controlled by a button in your hand. I made the mistake of topping it up when I found out the baby was ready to come out. I think if I'd have just left that last top-up it would have gone a lot better as i might have had more form of sensation xx

From my experience, without epidural i could control my body and was able to push really good. Pushed them all in under 5 minutes each, one of them for literally 1 minute.

But my last one i had the epidural, i felt i was pushing forever and it was doing nothing. After 20 minutes baby was out xx

I had epidural with my 2nd and yes it felt weird but I could still push when they asked. I did need a little assistance but he was stuck which didn't help. I was dead against having an epidural 1st time and I did manage it without one. But 2nd time I was much more anxious and wanted one to keep me calmer and more relaxed, which it did do.

I had the epidural and I couldn't feel nothing, i didnt feel like I was doing anything when pushing either. I didn't like the feeling of not been in control of my body, i ended up with a emergancy c section but not for that reason x
