Please share your tubal ligation recovery stories after vaginal delivery. One important question, how long after delivery was the procedure performed? Thanks.
@angelfoodcake, yes I have a tiny scar under my bellybutton
@mrsking13 they went through your belly?
@angelfoodcake, they cut a portion of my tube out and burnt the edges. Yes they put me to sleep.
@mrsking13 do you recall which procedure? And where you put to sleep?
I just had mine done a month ago. I delivered at 1 am and had them done at 7 am. I had no discomfort afterwards and have healed just fine. I am still breastfeeding so don’t know what my cycles will be like yet.
@angelfoodcake, Same here. They said if everything goes well they will do it the next day. Im really hoping they do because my husband was able to take off a week or two to be with me. I’d rather get it over with.
@mamabear0415 That would be my preference, esep considering I will have to go back to work from home pretty soon - I rather just get it over with.
Also following. They said they may do mine the next day after delivery.
@50.shades.of.tired right I feel you on that
I was pretty upset at first honestly but I got over my shock and she's just the most precious baby. God gave her to me for a reason. Idk what that may be yet.
@50.shades.of.tired wow amazing, how did you feel about that
@50.shades.of.tired What do you mean they missed it? So you were pregnant when they did it? You went on to have baby girl and now your tubes remain tied???
7 months after my 2nd daughter I had my tubal. I was pregnant and they missed it. I haven't had any problems but my cycle has been way heavier.
@angelfoodcake, some women have no problems with them but now since having one I honestly never know what to expect with it which stinks along with my crazy hormones
First week was a bit painful though having help with my oldest two made taking it easy on caring for them but it got better as I started healing my menstrual is still crazy after having it done for awhile it had a schedule then out of nowhere it changed now I have no clue when to expect it or if it will be light or heavy and so painful and hormones are so out of wack for me
@tiredmomof3 was it a hard recovery, painful? Any changes in menstrual cycle?
My tubal was done the week after my six week checkup after having my daughter
@blessed2018w9 Yes, I read it while back 😯 and sounds like horrible experience - but honestly haven't heard of that happening as often as successes... Still up in the air for me, I really don't wanna 😟 but I have the make the best most sensible decision at this point, more so for financial/health reasons. Also, what are you doing after Journee - is hubby getting snapped?
When do you stop bleeding after a vag delivery?? Just curious
Lol has anybody had sex before there 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery?🤷🏾♀️
Gifts for nurses?
Anyone planning to bring gifts for your nurses during/after delivery? If so, what are you giving them?
How long did you mommies bleed for after delivery?
recommended pads for after delivery?
I had my tubes completely removed at 6wks pp. My insurance wouldn't cover at time of delivery. Unless I needed a c section, which I didn't...
For my surgery I went in early in the morning, was back home by lunch time. Minor pain due to the surgery. What bothered me was the gas pain. They pump your stomach full of air so they can see what they're doing. And some air remains after surgery. Best way to make it better, it's lots of walking.
Day after surgery I was out driving taking kids to appts. Only help I needed was lifting the car seat. I have a suburban and I'm short, lol 😋.
I had 2 small incisions, 1 in my belly button and one on my right lower abdomen, can't see where now.
I recommend getting them removed and not tied. It reduces your chances of ovarian cancer (started in the tubes) you will never be at risk of an ectopic pregnancy ( possible when tied) . Absolutely no chance of getting pregnant 😉
