@mommytok, no I’m not taking both, I’m just taking ibuprofen but I just had my boyfriend pick me up Tylenol to see if that helps better. I personally wouldn’t want to take Percocet since I’m nursing. and I don’t have a bathtub 😭😭 I do have witch hazel pads and they help a lot. Im about to make padsicles so I hope that helps!

@babybump21, Motrin and ibuprofen are the same thing. I saw you commented to someone saying “and” but just make sure you’re not double dosing yourself with it thinking it’s different things. You can take Tylenol. And Percocet is on the fence, my hospital will give a script for very small doses so you don’t exceed a daily dose of 30mg which is what lactmed suggests. I personally didn’t want it, but I also wasn’t as in pain as you are. Sitz baths? Witch hazel? Hope you find some relief 💕

@babybump21 yeah no I don't breastfeed, too much you can't do when you breastfeed which makes life harder in my honest opinion. It still took me about 3 or 4 weeks to feel better down there

@ladyblauvelt, that’s a good idea, I never thought of that! Did you breastfeed? My hospital told me since I’m nursing there isn’t much they can give me and to just take Motrin and ibuprofen

I had 3 tears and honestly, whenever I had to pee, it really helped to stand up over the toilet. That way it went straight down and didn't trickle over my tears. I also used tucks pads to cool the area whenever I needed to. Thankfully for me my hospital sent me home with oxycodone and 600mg ibuprofens, then I was able to get them refilled once so those were my main life savers.

@mommytok, I’m breastfeeding so definitely not an option, the hospital told me since I’m nursing there isn’t much they can give me 😭 I need this pain to go away!!!

@babybump21, my hospital offered me Percocet but I refused. Maybe if you call your OB and tell them it’s unbearable and you’d like something just for as needed? The thing with perc though is that it can cause constipation so if you do take a narcotic definitely take colace as well

@let_there_be_life, I was thinking of going back to my doctor anyway because this pain is getting very unbearable and I’m really struggling with going to the bathroom so I’ll definitely mention it!

@mrs.swan110916, how long did it take for the pain to go away for you? I read it can take months sometimes 😭
EmilyМама сына-младенца
@mommytok, no I haven’t thought of that, I’ll definitely try it. I have just been taking ibuprofen and it hasn’t been helping. I sit on my boppy pillow all the time, it helps so much!!

I had an episiotomy as well and it was very painful. I used the peri bottle every time I went potty. The hospital I delivered at didn’t give me dermoplast spray. I guess I just dealt with the pain and didn’t do anything special to relive pain just take ibuprofen

@babybump21, it was prescribed so that is the only bad part because you would have to be seen, but it’s so worth it, before I would sit on the toilet for 30 + mins trying to pee and would only pee a little it hurt so bad.

@babybump21, omg 😫 I’m sorry! Are you using the blue can, and a ton of it?! Alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen every 4 hours? Someone told me sitting on a boppy pillow helped them a lot
EmilyМама сына-младенца
@mommytok, I have some and it doesn’t help much😭 it hasn’t burned when I peed the last few days but now it’s starting to and I want to cry every time I use the bathroom. I’m so scared for when my bf goes back to work and I have to take care of my baby by myself with this pain. I can’t even get up without my bf helping me😭😭😭
RachelМама дочки-младенца
I tore a tiny bit and my advice is use a crap ton of dermoplast every single time you go to the bathroom! And also the peri bottle helped me pee because I would be so scared that it would burn so it would take me forever to go haha
3 centimeters dilated so far & they are keeping me. I'm in so much pain! Omg.😭😭😭
Sex is painful. 😭😾
In so much pain 😭
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.

I agree about the squirt bottle with warm water + dermoplast + witch hazel pads!! Also on really rough nights a sits bath, which is basically a super shallow bath. So use a bowl with warm or cold water (alternating helps) and literally just stick your lady parts in it for a bit. Sex is terrifying after an episiotomy took me 7-8 weeks 🤦🏽♀️ With your next baby I doubt you’ll need an episiotomy if that makes you feel better! I was so relieved to not experience that again!! Hope you heal so quickly💗
