Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no…

I felt great. I was laughing through contractions, just slow deep breathing the entire time. I had 28 hours of natural labor. I didn't even realize his head was coming out. I tried to talk about scuba and they all go nooooo push! LOL it just felt like I had pressure there and was hunkering down to poop. I honestly admit to a high pain tolerance so that may be part of it but even with a 3rd degree tear I was up and moving, joking with the OB as she sewed me up, etc. It's all about where your mind is at. I knew drugs were off the table and I did anything I had to to avoid them. We also used a lot of different labor positions, don't stick to a bed if you are going natural, and my last recommendation is to get a doula....I couldn't have done it without her!

@aubsmom with my son my water broke at 9 p.m. and I had him the next day at 10:18 a.m.... This my daughter I was in active labor for around 60 some hours as well... The funny thing is the day I gave birth to my daughter I met JR Smith his wife and him just found out that they were having a baby so they were there... So I got pictures with JR Smith from the Cavs and he rubbed my back while I had contractions and he signed a baby book for my daughter and it said Uncle JR Smith so that was the cool part LOL

I did my second child natural and he was 9lbs 5oz.. the worst part was his head and shoulders.. his shoulders actually got stuck and lodged coming out and that hurt the most other than that it wasn’t bad.

I was induced, after like 20 hours of labor they broke my water and after a 5 min long spurt of contractions back to back to back I cussed out my nurse when she kept basically just kept yelling at me to breathe (middle of the night mind you) and the anesthesiologist was in there within 5 minutes 😂😂 I was like no I’m sorry efffff this

I've thought about that too like what if I'm too shocked to push 😔 , I couldn't even look at how beautiful she was coming out in the mirror bc I was about to pass out as soon as I saw how .... you know lol 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣@amysbabies

@amysbabiesy My whole thing is knowing you can't go back, once you decide no epidural... I rather be safe than sorry bc of the reasons you gave.

I sometimes wonder. I had an epidural literally right after my water broke, before that I did not feel my contractions. 1.5 hrs later I started pushing then 30 min later baby was in my arms. I wonder, but am personally glad I went with my option. I wasn’t so much fearful of the pain itself, but of my body’s reaction- I tend to black out with extreme pain, and was afraid that would happen or that I just wouldn’t push because of the pain. I wish they could just numb our vaginas for the pushing part and I would have chosen that in a heartbeat!!!

I went natural with my daughter and it hurt like hell but as soon as she was in my arms, there was no more pain. I tried to go natural with my youngest but my kids were in the delivery room and once I started to get really bad, I opted for an epidural. No reason for my kids to see me looking like the exorcist

You're a trooper mama , its crazy everyone tells me about how they were in labor for a looong time , my water broke at midnight and I had her 3:45 that evening.. @ljsmommy22 I'm hoping for the same lol .. but 63 hrs 😯

@aubsmom Contractions were fine... It was the actual pushing her out that was terrible... The knowing that there's no going back to get that epidural... Plus on top of it while I was pushing I was throwing up to so they had to give me some anti-nausea medicine... So it is quite an experience but just keep in mind that once you get so far there is no going back for that epidural so make sure you do your research and do what you think is best for yourself...

After I had my daughter. I turned to my husband and said that I didn't wish that pain on my worst enemy!

Yea he was stuck for a couple hours😂my pelvic bones weren't big enough and he was too big

@aubsmom I see it like this .... The epidural takes the pain away- why not just pop the nlbaby out without dealing with all that pain... When I had the epidural with my son I was able to enjoy it- with my daughter I was like a lunatic it was terrible and I enjoyed nothing about it... When I had my son I had the epidural and right after I was able to get up and go pee and everything else... I'm just Pro epidural LOL

I’ve broken many a bones in my body and let me tell you that was more painful to me then natural labor. I did it twice first time not by choice. It does hurt like hell not gonna lie but it’s totally worth it. Their heads coming out hurt the most but I only had to push once with each of them.

The contractions was the worst part for me! Pushing him out hurt but my contractions were excruciating lol

@aubsmom LMAO 😂 it wasn't what I wanted- it was just too late for the epidural... Then from the pain during giving birth- I started to have a panic attack from the whole experience... Anyone who says it felt fine- is nuts and must be a loosey-goosey
