So at night I’d put the cream my doctor prescribed and then put Vaseline on top. I’d put cotton gloves to help it soak into my skin. I’d have to do it a few times in the day too. So during the day I’d but the finger tips off the cotton gloves and not put the cream on my finger tips (again mine was all over my entire hand. Finger tips to the wrist on my palms). People at worked called me Michael Jackson because of it. But it was better than being embarrassed to shake hands because of the cracked and scabbed sores. I washed my hands in cold water. I used cetaphil hand soap and lotions. Always always wear gloves when you come into contact with chemicals. I even switched my shampoo, conditioner and body wash to organic stuff. No parabens, sls, fragrances, etc.

Once it started to clear up I only wore gloves at night. Finally it healed and I was able to start using the smell good lotions and soaps. But it took a while. It was annoying to deal and super painful. I really hope you find a routine that will help you. Because it sucks having this. My hands were bad for months. And it happened most during season changes.

@mommy_x3, I used to much bleach once and for over a month my whole hands were like this, cracking and peeling, anything would hurt it so bad, like a million open cuts, just air water anything made it so bad!

My fingers and hands get like this in the winter sometimes, I’ve tried everything but only thing that’s helped is polysporin and that healing hands crap, sometimes I’d even wrap my hands in syran wrap or wear plastic gloves after apply to let the creams soak in.

@mommy_x3, I’ll type my routine that helped. I’m cooking dinner now. But my hands are much better. I have only a few dry patches now. And have kept at bay for over 2 years.

@rayofmysunshine, my doctor gave me some kind of cream but it isn’t helping! Yess cleaning stuff and soap make mine a lot worse, Or just when it gets wet at all.. it’s very very painful 😣

rayofmysunshine

@mommy_x3, I get that too. But normally all over my hands. It’s called dyshidrotic eczema. The only thing that really helped was clobetasol propionate. I wear gloves when I’m cleaning. I noticed for me detergents and cleaners cause the blisters. It’s painful. I also stopped using soaps and lotions with fragrances.

That’s how my moms eczema looks on her hands. It looks just like that on her fingers and knuckles! She has to make sure she wears gloves when doing dishes or anything to that nature because it makes it worse and they burn. It also only happens on her hands.

rayofmysunshine

Do you get tiny blisters under the skin before it cracks?

@vmalden612, idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think it has to do with my thyroid because it comes up when my levels are all out of wack.. but my doctor doesn’t agree..

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
