Moms,
Due to numerous cases of bullying we are, effective immediately, implementing a Zero Tolerance Policy when it comes to trolling or bullying.
We will allow for ONE lapse of judgment, but following that warning, a suspension will occur. Any violations after the 3-day suspension will cause a 30-day suspension. Any violations after a 30-day suspension will cause an immediate and permanent ban from Mom.life.
Trolling is defined as any comments made on another user's post that is not directly related to the post, and/or made for the sole purpose of causing drama, creating a negative environment, and/or calling other users to a post to continue a negative and unhelpful conversation.
Bullying includes hurtful, unnecessary, or attention calling comments that are made for the purpose of making another user feel bad.
We hate that it has come to this, but the reality of users abusing our warning system (and bullying other moms) has caused this change in our guidelines to maintain a positive, helpful environment for all moms on our app.
We hope this brings a wave of positivity from the enhanced safety we expect to come from this change in guidelines. All moms will be able to participate in a helpful & friendly conversation without worrying about trolling and bullying!
You can find the revised guidelines under your Profile > Settings > Community Guidelines!
We have also changed our policy on teen moms. Users 16+ will now be able to access the mom.life app without being in violation of guidelines.
@rocilove4, maybe not but if they’re old enough to make a baby they’re old enough to be on a mommy app. It could be their only means of support.
@kailaraeauna, Yeah it can be pretty annoying but I ignore them and that’s much better then getting into conflict with someone who doesn’t know you.
@mojobebe We are working with our developers to get the block issue corrected. Thanks for your feedback!
Fix your block option and ppl will have more power to deal with who they want. Easy.
@kailaraeauna, I’ve had the same done to me on my venting posts before, people act like you should be 100% happy all the time and shouldn’t ever get bothered by something in your life, I don’t post venting posts anymore because of this.
@kailaraeauna if you post it publicly, its inevitably going to happen. But if you don't want feedback, turn them off. You can't expect anyone to just keep scrolling. Especially on a public newsfeed, if they don't like it, they're more than likely going to give you unwanted advice/comments.
@kailaraeauna, If you post to the public feed, chances are people will disagree. You can also post to followers only, so that your friends will only be the ones to see your post.
@kailaraeauna you can always turn off comments if you don't want feedback from your posts.
I don’t know what happened, but I can’t believe we as adults can’t behave SMH 🤦♀️
This reminds me of my sons pledge at school about bullying! Imagine these parents that bully other parents, no wonder there are so many bullies out in the world. It starts from home and if moms can’t even get it together, how will their kids ever be able to ? Lol
@rocilove4, well it once was 18 so maybe they will change the age limit again sometime, at least it’s a step in the right direction 😊
@ailurophiliac, no I understand that it makes total sense what you’re saying but then why have a cut off age @amberjacq, I known moms at age 15 sadly to say. It should be open to all moms if it is a mom app.
@mumumum., They’re currently working on getting the block button fixed, but there’s no eta on when at this point in time.
This is sad it comes to this just like grade school!!
@rocilove4, It’s a mom life app and they’re moms too, I think they should be allowed on here because just imagine a 16 y/o girl scared out of her mind and has no one to talk to or run to for advice. Some of these young women get pregnant and their parents disown them and then they have no one to turn to for help so I think it is a very good idea for them to be allowed on here because some of them don’t have anyone to help them.
@rocilove4, maybe not but if they’re old enough to make a baby they’re old enough to be on a mommy app. It could be their only means of support.
No bullying zone should of been implemented from the beginning giving your opinion and being rude is two different things you don’t have to agree heck you don’t have to agree with someone ever giving out honest opinions is why we are here being nasty and calling names is not giving an opinion that we need reframe it and post it or or like other moms say just move on. In another note 16 is way to young to be in here just cause they happen to get pregnant doesn’t mean they are adults.
@wickedlittlethings., Okay good! I just don’t like seeing actual bullying especially when a mother is feeling pretty and posts a picture of herself, and then other moms attack her for no reason whatsoever.
I just didn't know teens never could be apart lmao. Guess I was on here illegally at 16 😂😂
@amberjacq, Yes, you can always report someone even if you’re not involved directly.
If the bullying isn’t directed at us can we still report it even tho it doesn’t involve us personally? Because I’ve actually seen some posts where another mom was actually being bullied and it wasn’t one of those situations where they disagreed and claimed bullying it was real bullying.
@klazaro, @pipelinemama, Those type of posts should be reported to mom.life. A user will not be suspended or banned for reporting anyone.
@klazaro, I agree especially after confrontation and the op or commenters make a post over it? Also what happened to repeat “reporters” that cry Wolf so many times when they just don’t like the advise?
I just disable the comments and keep it moving
Any chance we could keep the BumpPadFolio board free speech? A lot of us knock around on each other and understand it's in good fun, but someone may take offense if they didn't know the context/users
@blakeslatinmama, You’re welcome to give advice, and then move on. If someone begins to be rude, that’s when the engagement needs to cease. I believe this is being blown out of proportion.
@ya.local.trash.can, You don’t have to ignore everything. Just best to ignore things that you disagree with or could cause a potential argument. If users wish to leave, then they’re welcome to do so.
@x_storm, You will not be suspended or banned if a report is invalid to violating guidelines.
@ya.local.trash.can, No, that’s when you report the user, block them, and cease engagement. If you’re worried someone will reply in that way, it’s best to ignore them entirely.
@blakeslatinmama our freedom of speech rights have been limited because not everyone can have a normal discussion without getting salty.
I know mom.life will review each report but I hope these chicks better not get salty and report constantly.
@adriantemommy, It was banned because their policy was previously 18+. Their policy has now changed. 😊
I predict the group of ladies that gang up on ppl will disappear soon! 😂 🤞🏼
@blakeslatinmama, Mom.life will determine if it’s considered bullying or trolling. If you disagree, it’s always best to move on and ignore. Not all users are able to disagree respectfully.
@ari., yessss please @mom.life_usa, when will the block feature be corrected to function as block feature? I think this would help everyone!
Bravo !! This is wonderful. I think many people forget this is an app to receive and provide support and guidance to moms . Be there to support each other and answer all question and walk through motherhood together
@peppa., If you’re joking around with friends, then likely not. But antagonizing other users on their post just because you disagree could get you suspended.
I’m just happy about teen moms being allowed to be on here. A step in the right direction.
Honestly it’s kinda sad 🤦♀️ we all could use each other in this world. The world is ugly enough, we don’t need anymore negativity. ❤️ love don’t hate.
I’m happy to see this update. I have seen the same small cluster of women gang up to attack others on several occasions. I’m glad to know this will not be taken lightly so will be sure to report these incidents for review going forward. This will make the app more enjoyable.
@blakeslatinmama we always review any reports we receive. We will not be banning without a thorough review first.
@blakeslatinmama, Mom.life will always review reports as they’re sent in and overlook the entire issue.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
