Moms,
With the new users we've gained recently, we wanted to post the Community Guidelines for everyone.
If you want to view this in the future, they are located on your profile under Settings, Community Guidelines. 💗
Mom.life is a private, mobile community for moms and moms-to-be to share experiences, ask for advice and post photos. We’ve developed guidelines to make sure our Mom.life community is a welcoming and enjoyable place for all our members.
Respect the Mom.life community
Mom.life is a diverse community with diverse opinions. It is up to each of us to be polite and treat each other with respect. Remember that everyone here is going through the most extraordinary change in their life, a change that comes with joy and wonder but also pain and sometimes roller coaster emotions. Any members who break a rule may be subject to a complete ban from Mom.life.
Use kindness toward all our moms. Mom.life encourages discussion and candid debate, but don’t abuse others. Differences are acceptable, but bullying, insults, personal attacks and threats are not allowed.
No obscene, hostile, libelous or offensive language.
Do not post inappropriate content. Users who post offensive or shocking content will be banned from the community.
No shouting matches with other members. If you’re in a dispute, immediately inform the community managers rather than further engaging with the other member. Block the member by tapping Block, and then click Complain (click the three dots in the post header and tap Block or Complain) and contact @mom.life_usa with a copy of the alleged offender’s username.
Violations
We review all complaints thoroughly to determine whether or not they violate our community guidelines. Any violation may result in a complete ban, but we do allow for one slip of judgement. For the above violations we allow a member one warning before terminating an account.
Don’t cross the line
If members are found to have crossed the line, they will be immediately banned from our community.
Do not impersonate another user or the female gender. Mom.life is a women-only community.
No identity theft.
No repeated threats or bullying.
No stealing of photos, and no publication or forwarding of posts and private messages to third parties without permission.
No multiple accounts by one user.
No illegal activity.
No pornography.
No unsolicited messaging or commercial spamming permitted.
Join in and enjoy yourself
Remember Mom.life is our big family. Each and every member makes the community, so don’t be afraid to get involved. We’re all committed to making our Mom.life community the most welcoming, useful and positive place for all expecting and new moms. However, our ultimate success is guaranteed only with your help and support. We take the privacy and social health issues of our Mom.life community very seriously. We will monitor posts and complaints carefully, but breach of our community guidelines and Terms of Service may result in the termination of your account.
Additionally, posts, comments and statements posted in our community and chats reflect the views of the user who makes the post and does not necessarily reflect the views of mom.life. The advice and opinions are the responsibility of those members who create the posts. Posts from users may also contain medical information that is incorrect. Please always consult your doctor or other qualified medical professional before relying on information you find in the community and chats.
If you are having an emergency of any kind, please call 911 or your doctor right away.
Have a fun Memorial Day Weekend! 💞

@mom.life_usa Thank you, bullying, name calling, and inappropriate behavior have been running rampant on mom life the last few months, more so than I had ever experienced back when I was a new user familiarizing myself with this app. Before, moms and moms to be would decide to delete their accounts mostly due to inactivity, now it seems most deletion is due to feeling unwanted, uncomfortable, or disgusted by how particular women are treated on this app. Its sad. We should work to build each other up, not tear each other down and remain divided into cliques, this is a COMMUNITY. Enough with the high school BS. 😏
Oooh! ChicanaCrazy 🤷🏽♀️·
@leroydoom agreed 100%

@mom.life_usa, the blocking feature does absolutely nothing. Will there be a fix to this?

@masseymomma16, Yes, it’s being worked on now.

@masseymomma16 Oh, that's a great question! 👏

@mom.life_usa @theinkedmommy. Since we're pointing out feature bugs 😂 I've turned off group notifications but am however, still receiving group notifications. I think its really cool that that's an option but it would be even cooler if it worked. 😁

@klazaro, Just because you do not see action being taken, it does not mean action hasn’t been taken. Suspensions do happen when people overstep community guidelines, but banning a user permanently is always a last resort option.

@klazaro, agree

@klazaro, I currently reported a user who blocked me, impersonated another user, then unblocked me, commented under my pic as that other user, changed their name yet again (they’ve changed their name at least 5 times in a week) and is still active. I’ve reported that user AND I know others have too. We may not have seen what actions were taken, if any, but just too see that user still active irks me.

Thanks for everything!!! This app is pretty awesome. Considering all the popular mom apps / websites being shut down I’m glad there is still mom.life 🙂

Hopefully everyone can get a long, i hate seeing arguments and bullying on here between grown women.

If someone has been forwarded your private messages without permission but won’t identify who sent them this info, if you report the incident, would mom life be able to investigate and identify who is secretly sending private info to third parties without permission?

@oddie, Yes. Mom.life will be able to see the messages. 👍🏼

@klazaro, If they continue to violate the guidelines after a suspension, they’ll be banned.
Mommynes·
@theinkedmommy., 🤔 then why do we have to send proof and ss to mods in order for them to investigate?

@mommynes, Because screenshots always help make their job easier.

I had a woman on here take my profile pic and screen shot many of my post I still see her Active on here..so banning doesn't apply this individual strange concept
Mommynes·
Monkey, that comment offends me. Reported!
