My doctor prescribed me some zoloft today... I have never really tried anything for my depression but I am really needing to start. Anyone else take this? Pregnant or not..
@babymay2016, holy crap! I am too! I couldn’t do it anymore after about 2 weeks of feeling how I was! I was fine off my medicine for almost 3 years and then I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic and for some reason it through me into a tizzy. I would not want to have my heart rate and blood pressure rise the way it does when you have a panic attack while pregnant. That is why I decided I definitely need to stay on it! I wish you luck on it love, better days are ahead ♥️ if you ever have any questions or just need to talk my inbox is open!
@samanthaann That's really awesome. I am surprised my doctor didn't do anything before but I have panic attacks every day, crying and screaming and going nuts. My whole pregnancy and before.... That can't have been good for my baby and I kept saying that but truly couldn't help it. I am surprised I made it this long!!!
@babymay2016, absolutely! My mom and I both take it at night I do recommend that! And girl I know your pain. About a month and a half ago maybe not even I was suffering panic attacks daily, heart pounding and racing, sweating, I felt like I wasn’t even myself like I was living it a fog, and I would get so bad my hands and fingers would cramp up. Been on Zoloft about a month now and I am SO much better off, I almost credit that to me getting pregnant because I wasn’t ridiculously stressed like I had been! It seriously changed everything for me, definitely give it a try! No fuzzy feelings here!
@samanthaann Thank you. I am going to try it.... If it gets any worse I could maybe not even be here for my kids at all 😰 I am just so down everyday and I don't wanna do it anymore. Would you also suggest taking at night? I am afraid of that fuzzy feeling I got from whatever other medication I tried, but I would like to give feeling better a try. I can't do this anymore and I gotta get better for my babies
It is the safest studied drug during pregnancy as well, according to drugs.com, webmd, and a slew of others it does not increase your risk for any malformations, miscarriages, still birth, etc! I’ve read lots and lots of great outcomes and I will be staying on it for my pregnancy. I also take mine before bed
@dcjc_x2 Thank you for the suggestion. I think I may try tonight. I am 38wks pregnant and having my baby a week from today... I have just been SO depressed I know for sure it will be bad if not worse when the baby is here...
Omg I can’t believe all the negative comments! You need to at least give it a try girl! I took it throughout high school and I am taking it again 100mg. It is an absolute life savor for me. I am happier, don’t worry about ridiculous stuff, and just over all a better person! Some people don’t have good luck with it, but you can’t know until you try. My mom also takes it. God sent for her too.
Take Zoloft before bed at night. Not during the day. That’s what I did. It didn’t help me, at all though. (Not because I took it at night, just because I honestly need something stronger)
@babymay2016, I say go for it, symptoms might be different for you. If it doesn’t work for you you can go back and ask for something else.
I took it for anxiety (not while I was pregnant, this was before) it would've been fine if I had no job and nothing to do, but it made me into a zombie basically all I did was sleep. I almost lost my job because I stopped going. I guess technically it worked because normally I'd have anxiety about taking off work for a legit reason but this had me just flat out not going and I didn't care
@sophiesmom @momof2prince Ugh idk what to do but I feel like I should try it. I feel really bad everyday. I haven't even had this second baby yet and I don't know what to do 😰
@babymay2016 yeah that stuff is not ok when you got people depending on you
@momof2prince Yeah whatever I took my doctor had said I wouldn't feel ANY change for 2-4wks and three days it was BAD
@babymay2016 I was sweating head and stomach hurt didn't want to eat couldn't get up and tend to the kids and they say 3-4 weeks before you feel anything I wasn't going through all that
I didn’t like Zoloft it made me feel so bleh all of the time. I didn’t feel like myself.
@momof2prince Damn.. Yeah that's what I am afraid of? Pregnant or not pregnant? Why didn't you like it? I tried something else before and only lasted a few days too. It made my brain feel like a carbonated beverage and I straight up couldn't even form a sentence. It was not good
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I need to ask someone this have you literally regret having a child with someone. I love my daughter with all my heart but I really regret ever being with her dad.
I really need to start my research for breastfeeding😩
I really hate tampons. I know we need them, but I really really hate them.
I really really hate the fact that I got stretch marks on my boobs. And it kinda bothers me when mommas tell me they are something to be proud of because it's my baby tattoos or my proof I was growing a miracle...I'm pretty sure once my son is in this world with me HE will be the proof I grew a miracle inside me. I know they try to make me feel better about it but there really is nothing beautiful about stretch marks! No matter how you put it.
I use this
