@annanichole thank you, I may talk to my doctors about what I can do about all that and also me not eating healthy there has to be other mothers don't weren't given the right foods or are allergic/picky
@sarahdrew I'll ask my Dr what I can do about that asthma and of course anxiety and depression it may be best with my first just to formula feed which will break my heart

im sure the doctor can prescribe you an allergy medecine that will not affect your milk ,eat good (enough) and keep drinking your vitamins so your supply doesnt get affected, you will for sure know if any foods are affecting babys tummy ,never give up it may seem hard at first mine ddidnt know how to latch ! and i was against nurses feeding him formula, he loves his milky ! he is now 13 months old and still bf i am 17 weeks pregnant and will tandem nurse ! there is truly no better feeling ,the bond is just out of this world ! good luck mama
@babylove11416 I may look into that or find the best formula😢😧

@hermommy, I don't eat the best either and my daughter is doing just fine, gaining weight and everything (she has really chubby cheeks) they say to consume more calories while breastfeeding because that in itself burns calories

uhhh well you can always breastfeed and give her formula. just a suggestion. I'm doing that cause I go back to work Wednesday :-/ @hermommy

nasal steroids? nasicort?
@babylove11416 yeah i need to stick to something else then😢 I don't eat the best I just run it all off and I'd rather her be healthy so sadly I don't think it's an option😳

alternate between breasts when you feed baby. so life right boob was at 8. then left boob at 11. if you pump, do the opposite boob your gonna use. :)

hmmm let me see what I can find as an alternative to antihistamines, it's the antihistamines in the meds that cause dry up

stay healthy. try to get fat free in foods, less in salt. always snack on something before giving baby milk because eeee what you eat had the fatty of it that you can give to baby. if you don't eat, and your not hungry, if you feed baby, she'll be hungry even after you feed her because your milk doesn't have the fatiness of when you eat.
@sarahdrew allergic to honey:/ and nuts and a million other things
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
I have horrible allergies, you can use local raw honey, that helps allergies and that's what I do
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
I'm not sure of anything you eat can drop supply or not tho, I never had a problem and I eat all kinds of things lol @hermommy
@sarahdrew
then maybe I shouldn't breastfeed my allergies get so bad I end up in the hospital😢😢

like @momagainjj82 said the classes are great lol.... also find a lactation consultant they are lifesavers, I swear I talked to mine more than my husband at first lol
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
there are things you can eat to boost supply, I basically did hit and miss with what I ate and it upsetting her stomach, the only thing I can't eat is onion cuz man o man does she get cranky lol..... no sudafed and no allergy meds while breastfeeding, they will dry milk up
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
I'm not gonna lie, it is hard and trying at first (also painful the first few times they nurse) but just keep it up, it gets better, I know that sounds really cliché lol..... growth spurts are the devil lol I swear during that time I think I'm never sleeping again, but those too shall pass.... you can nurse on just one side or on both sides, I started on just 1 side at a time then she started eating more and now she nurses on both sides every 4 hours (except at night when she sleeps for 9 hours lol I wake up really full)

We also did a birthing class and that was super informative, even as a STM. It's nice to be there and be able to ask questions and hear other people's input!!
@momagainjj82 looking into that and birthing classes😆
and good lol atleast she will know what to do @sarahdrew
@sarahdrew does like what you eat have anything to do with supply?😮
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
oh, it is your legal right to feed in public, also if you are working they have to give you a place and time to pump when you return to work

I recommend a class at your hospital if they offer it. I failed after a few weeks of trying with my son and I went to a class this time and basically learned about the abundance of mistakes I made! Lol! Good luck 😊
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
as soon as you can after delivery put baby up there, she will know what to do (it's crazy they just know).... it takes a few weeks for your supply to get regulated that's why wic suggests you don't pump until after a month.... they will stop eating when they are full.... hmmm what else can I think of lol
i dont even know what to ask girl lol i literally know nothing @sarahdrew
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
hmmm.... I can answer some questions (I've pumped exclusively and breastfed exclusively both)
just so I know more about it I literally know nothing. @sarahdrew
Sarah DrewМама двоих (младенец)
what are you researching?
Sarah Drew·Мама двоих (младенец)
talk to a lactation consultant, Dr's aren't always the best as they don't always know everything about breastfeeding, they should be able to tell you alternatives for all medications ☺
