Am I wrong??
So this is my 5th baby and I don’t want a baby shower considering I’ve bought everything I need he could use a couple more outfits but that’s it for now. And my husbands family keeps asking me if I’m doing a baby shower and I say no but it’s like they scrunch their nose at me?!!!! Like I’ve bought everything I need I told them they can get him an outfit if they’d like but I’m not doing a baby shower. Am I wrong for this?

It’s your 5th baby. Most people don’t have a baby shower after they’ve had there second baby. If they are really that concerned about a baby shower then tell them they can do one but your not

Maybe have a diaper party. That way your husbands family can celebrate the new baby and you can receive things you actually need

I am not having a baby shower either. Then tell them you're not going to have a baby shower but if they want to bring something for the baby they can

I don't think youre wrong for that! Baby showers are stressfull and if you could use your time doing something more productive then i say go for it. Plus theres a big chance of you getting a bunch of stuff you dont need and having to find something to do with it

Diaper party, sprinkle (I think its sprinkle...like a very low key, small, not quite shower) party would be nice, more a celebration type of party than a gift giving one.

Have the baby shower but make sure all guests knows that you have everything you need. Just ask for diapers, wipes, gift cards for date nights or mommy days out, (I’d killed to have been able to get a pregnancy massage and pedicure when I was pregnant) or even a mommy basket with some of your favorite things! That’s what I would do! 😊

If they really want to give something I would suggest saying gift cards or wipes and diapers of various sizes.

I’m not having a baby shower either && this is my second baby...We bought everything ourself and my mom kept trynna push it but I just didn’t want one this time around ... it’s ur choice at the end of the day u know? So no one should make u feel like u HAVE to do something

You can do whatever you want. In my culture we traditionally don’t celebrate prior to birth with a baby shower. We celebrate after birth. Typically one month after baby is born and then the celebration becomes a meet and greet. For many this would not work bc ppl are afraid of babies getting sick. But it’s an idea to hold off if you don’t need anything now. You can have a meet and greet party even when baby is older, like at 5 mos. That way you may actually need some things and can get it then.
