Infant car seats for twins..can I put two next to each other?
Have any of you ladies been able to put your twins in car seat where one if behind either passenger or driver and the other is in the middle ... this way there is an extra seat for a 3rd small person in the back seat??? If so, which brand/model infant car seat works this way and how did you manage to make this work???? Thanks !!! ❤️
I have a 3.5 year old and am 32w with twins. We got Chicco seats for the babies and older daughter has a Britax convertible seat. So far I’ve only tried them with her in the middle and a baby at each door. I’m hoping to put my oldest behind the driver and twins in middle/passenger spots so she’s not trying to climb over the bases all the time.
Look up the diono radian (hopefully that spelling is close enough). It is marketed as being able to fit three across in most sedans, so you could put one in the side and one in the middle.
It doesn't have a detachable infant base, but it can do rear facing even for infants.
We also have a q5 and is not possible to put the car seat next to each other, there is not a seat belt to hold the car seat in place in the middle, at least not in our car (model 2016) but is perfectly fine to seat in the middle. I still seat in the middle back seat because my son is cardiac and they are now 22 months old ?
I met a woman who had twins and she said she has a Honda CR-V and she could not put them next to each other. I had a 2016 Explorer which I wouldn't be able to put two next to each other and then it would be pretty much impossible for my son to get back to the third row. We traded it in for a suburban with bucket seats in the middle. Much better !
So I found a YouTube video that shows the Nuna pipa base being able to be installed with a seatbelt.... wondering if I could fit one next to each other? I could use seat belt for middle and ISO fix for the other? Or seat belt for both? I also was reading seatbelt installation of the base is safer than the isofix.... anyone anyone???
I have two britax b safe35 next to each other in my expedition. I think it depends on the size of the vehicle.
