Sometimes my son latches on so well then other times he fights and cries and I have to keep latching him on.

The football hold is great and can be done without the pillow.

@ataraxia, they are so small but so strong minded!!

@memybumpandi, he likes the lying down position the best and gets so frustrated latching using any kind of pillow.

Have you tried different holds? I have found a pillow, not a pregnancy pillow just a normal pillow and putting him in the rugby hold helps sometimes. It brings him closer to the boob also bringing his head in quickly when he opens up wide to cry LOL!

Oh and bringing some milk to the tip of the nipple and letting him sniff it sometimes helps.
