Hi Mommas hows everyone? Does anyone know what to use to help baby with insect bites. Something is biting my baby and I am about to go crazy!! I dont kno if its happening at my house or the daycare. Um mad though!
You're more than welcome! If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a message!
I totally understand. I cannot STAND the thought of bugs (of any kind) in my home, especially the thought of them biting my child 😣
Tea tree oil is another alternative. Mix it with the white vinegar and spray on anything/everything where baby may encounter spiders including the bed. The vinegar will kill spiders while the tea tree oil will keep anymore from entering.
@cassie.ann, I will try it. Thank you so much! My nerves are getting the better of me.
If you want a non expensive, non chemical treatment of your home, I would suggest white vinegar. Mix equal parts vinegar and water into a spray bottle (so as not to overwhelm the home with the smell) and spray directly into any sources you think spiders live/come from as well as the spiders themselves.
If you're still apprehensive, place small dishes of white vinegar at different sections of the house.
I totally understand.
On the bright side (let's be real, they're spiders, they're ugly and scary so there isn't much of a bright side), they're more than likely house spiders. As long as he isn't having any adverse effects (i.e. no pus, sores, etc) he should be fine.
I would put some antibiotic ointment on him just to be on the safe side and depending on the severity of the bites/type of spider, I'd probably take him in for a check up, just to be on the safe side.
@cassie.ann, I didn’t mention spiders cuz i jus dont want them to be it. But with this weather there are spiders coming out of every corner nowadays. If they are in his bed um gonna cry! We are planning to spray because of them. Now... We will frantically.
You can buy the Benadryl spray, which you spray directly into the bite to soothe it. It immediately takes away any itching/pain so that the bite can heal effectively and quickly without fear of infection. The only downside is that upon drying, it does become a bit sticky.
If you want a less medicated approach, Aquaphor clear gel/cream helps tremendously.
My little girl is allergic to mosquito bites; they swell up and itch her like crazy. A round of Benadryl spray and Aquaphor gel/cream usually does the job for her.
Going off another comment, bed bugs usually bite in a line.
Did these appear before or after bedtime?
Flea bites are a definite option, as are mosquitoes. The only oddity about it is that they're tight. Have you noticed any spiders in your home?
@cassie.ann, No I dont mind. They are not in a line. I didnt get a pic cuz he was almost asleep whn i noticed. I dont think its an allergic reaction. 2 on the back of his right arm and 2 on his left leg, right under his butt cheek. We do have a dog but I dont think its fleas cuz we would be getting them too. The daycare has 2 dogs though. Lets not forget mosquitoes! They are plentiful now.
Are they in a line? Do you have a picture you could send me?
Does it seem like an allergic reaction? Are there pets in the home?
Sorry for all the questions; I'm just trying to help 😊
@cassie.ann, 15 mnths, they start off like a little bump and then spreads out, tight and red
@cassie.ann, hey honey it ended up being mosquitoes. Thnx for the info.
