That means they processed the request on Friday. It takes 2 business days (weekends don’t count) for the state system to update. To be on the safe side I would say your new address will show in the system no later than Wednesday. Maybe you should schedule your appointment for Thursday.

When did you call the hospital? What date is on the letter? Once you get the bill you call the number on the statement and you tell them to bill medical. Let them know that you recently moved counties and the transfer process took a while.

@gris0723 California I went from orange county to Fresno. How do I find a county hospital? I want to start being seen for prenatal care at least in the next week or two. I called up an obgyn hospital near me that accepts medical and they told me I could come in and see what they could do but when they look me up it still shows my old information. How do I get the bill to medical after everything is fully transferred over?

What state do you live in? Im a case worker in Santa Clara county (California). Since you received the letter that means that your address has been updated in the state system. You should be able to see a doctor in the new county. If you have an emergency or need to be seen make sure you go to a county hospital. If they say you need to pay just say to send you the bill. Once every thing is transferred over medical will pay the bill. The letter you received means that your old county of residence has done its job and the new county still needs to pick up your case. The inter county process can take up to 3 months because of the state regulations and cut off dates (this is out of the workers control).

P.S if you are told to call back in a week that is a good thing because if your case worker is out (because life does happen) that’s the only way your case/request can be escalated.

@mortonmining yup but it could have been me all flustered that I screwed up by one number to when talking to them the second time but I don't remember lol true I've read that giving a pregnancy test(like peeing in the cup) to confirm it could be seen as family planning and every visit after is prenatal care but I could be wrong to. This is still stressful 😂

Im suppperr scared of getting billed as well! And one number?! I always think they do stuff like that on purpose!! Just so you have to go through it again... 😑😑. And I don’t think seeing an OB is family planning, I think it’s prenatal care, but I could be wrong!

@mortonmining you are not alone lol right! Then they tell you to call them back in a week to make sure your request has been started. Its like what I have to call and make sure you did your job? I'll still have to call them later though they have one number wrong on our address and I want to get that fixed. @mortonmining yes that was my next course of action if I didn't get anything. Now I can finally call and set up an apt somewhere to be seen and make sure everything is looking ok. It's really stressful I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now!

@mortonmining I just called normal medical but I had to call them twice the first time was in April and last time was very end of may and its only been a week or two since that last time. So I'd call medical and tell them you tried to get ahold of your case worker and that you moved and are pregnant and due in a couple months so they speed it up.

@aylenrose, How long did it take for them to transfer your info? I’ve been trying to get ahold of my case worker to notify her that we moved and she hasn’t called me back. I’m afraid I won’t have medical by the time baby comes!
