Little mans sleep clock got messed up again :/ he doesn't go down for the night until 11:30 pm and sleeps in till about 10 am. If you try put him to bed earlier he wakes up in the middle of the night. And he doesnt overnap in the day either so cutting out a nap to help him go to bed earlier isnt really an option either so idk what to do
@carusod91 sometimes he barely naps hes been up for 4 plus hours straight before
If he’s overtired , it’s for sure harder
To get him to sleep. So I find after he’s been awake for 1-1.5 hours, I’ll start getting him ready to nap
My baby is the same. His bedtime is around 11:30pm too. If I try 7pm, he’ll sleep for half hour and then down at like 9pm. And then up again at 9:30-10 and then finally down at 11:30pm. He’ll wake about 2 times to eat during the night and finally out of bed by 11am. If I try earlier bedtime it just doesn’t work. I was apparently the same as a baby too. I think once my little guy is more independent and finally sleeps through the night and able to sleep on his own (without rocking , co sleeping etc), then I can slowly start establishing a better bedtime. I can’t force naps either. I usually watch for that first or second yawn and that’s when I know it’ll be easier to put him to sleep
My baby goes to sleep anywhere from 930 to 11 and wakes up at 830 no matter what time she went to bed. Sometimes she goes to bed at 7 or 8 and you’re right, she’s up all night. And I don’t do a set time for bed or naps. I just let her sleep whenever. I figure she’s so young she doesn’t need to be on a schedule. She knows her body best. What gets me through is one day she will have a bed time and will sleep through the night. It’s hard right now but I just follow my baby. She knows when she’s tired. Good luck momma. You’re doing the best you can.
@avianlouiebos, some times if he doesn’t nap at all if he just sits there and cries endlessly then yeah don’t force the nap but always always aim for a nap it will help tremendously
@avianlouiebos, no kid likes naps generally but I promise you he wants naps. Naps are so important for babies sleep actually helps them grow its part of their growing process naps aren’t bad he may get mad and cry but he needs them and as much as it may not seem like it he wants them too it will also give you a couple of hours to yourself and that’s also important mama
@noahs.mommy also it sucks but id rather him go to bed later and sleep through the night
@noahs.mommy i dont do forced naps its so unnatural i wouldn't want someone to try make me sleep if i wasnt tired that would make me angry
@avianlouiebos, yes less sleep the harder it is for him to sleep. That’s where the naps come in to play though because he would be waking up so much during the night those 2-3 naps make up for that loss of sleep. Look up cry it out method and sleep training, it might help just try it, all it takes is 3 days and that’s true too all it took was my son 3 days and bam we had a schedule and he was happy and I was happy and I nap during his naps too so that helps!
@noahs.mommy i know its fine if he doesnt sleep through the night at his age im not saying he has to but if you try put him to bed hes earlier he wakes up alot at night which means less sleep which means cranky baby you said it yourself less sleep is harder on them so I can't see a way to put him to bed earlier :/ but i do agree 1130pm is rough
@avianlouiebos, I know my son used to do the same exact thing. I started putting him to bed earlier though and did different things to help him have an earlier bed time and I MADE him take naps. That age he was supposed to take 2-3 naps and he did because I forced the routine. I laid him down at whatever time I wanted him to nap and left him there for a while even if he cried if he never stopped I’d get him and tweak the time I’d lay him down and eventually everything was down perfect now our schedule is dead set in stone and he pretty much ASKS to be put to bed
@noahs.mommy the only way he does stay sleep is if he goes to bed at 11:30
@avianlouiebos, babies that age really shouldn’t be going to bed that late.....😕 it’ll be harder on him and you because he’s going to be so tired all the time and he won’t be able to sleep or stay asleep
It’s okay for him to wake up in the middle of the night. He’s still little. My son is a year and a half old and he still wakes up to come into my bed in the middle of the night. A perfect bedtime for that age is between 6-7pm and 2-3 naps a day. The more tired he is the harder it is for them to sleep the more rested they are the easier it is for them to sleep
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
My baby is 2 today!! I literally cried myself to sleep last night snuggling with him. (yeah, I let him sleep in my bed last night bc I he wanted to & I wanted him to) lol
Why are birthdays so hard for meeee?! 😭😭😭
Is it wrong for me to break up with my boyfriend for sleeping on the couch 4 nights in a row? He says it’s not a big deal and he’s just tired 🙄
But it pisses me off. We should be sleeping in the same bed. And he knows it makes me mad yet he continued to do it so that’s y I’m fed up
In bed with baby...going mad
Ladies any advice as I'm going absolutely crazy here??? Iv always been told.. never sleep in the same bed as baby as it's dangerous but honestly these past few days if I didn't, i think I would have gone crazy last night for example he woke up at midnight.... and then refused to go to sleep again in his cot but as soon as soon as he was in Bed with me he was out like a light.. I have no idea what's wrong with him as he used to be so good at sleeping on his own I c...
This is going to sound dumb but, how do you cosleep? 🤔
Any tips to make the anxiety ease up? My son sleeps perfectly in his crib but early mornings he wakes up fussy so we will bring him to our bed to sleep in until 10/11ish but I get really nervous about him in our bed.
@avianlouiebos, my son had done that too. It’s stressful. I find I just have to really watch and have a routine for him. Not always doable though. Especially since sometimes I wanna leave the house
